    Evans wins the third set

  4. #33
Evans breaks first game in the fourth!

For context, other than Andy Murray, the last UK player to make the fourth round in the US open was Tim henman in 2004.

Kyle Edmund has done it already, can Dan Evans as well???

  5. #34
Tiebreak in the fourth. If Evans wins he's through

Anyone know where you can get decent highlights of the games? Had a quick google but no luck.

Evans had match point in the 4th set tie-break but, eventually lost it 10-8 before losing the 5th set 6-2, fantastic effort though.

Good thing, from a Murray perspective, is that wawrinka is the third seed but doesn't look very strong at the moment.

US Open's great! What a racket going on during games. People running up and down the aisles. Music between games. It wouldn't do at Wimbledon but it's quite unique.

There really is great strength in depth in French tennis.

I think Wimbledon does it just right.

I like how everything is done there, the US Open has its place don't get me wrong but I think Wimbledon is much better organised.

I also don't like how the crowd is allowed to come and go as they please, particularly when a player is about to serve.

Comfortable win for Djokovic against Edmund. Shame but good effort none the less.

Coupled with djokovic's standard medical break when he's under a bit of pressure

Takes the 3rd set 6-2 also. Dimitrov must be wondering what just hit him...

You could see Dimitrov unravelling as the match progressed, excellent performance from Andy.

Djokovic's progress to the semi-finals is getting daft. He's only actually completed two matches. His half of the draw was unchallenging enough without that.

He seems to be quite happy with the rest. Hopefully the first time he faces any real resistance he comes a cropper having not really been tested so far.

That said you'd rather be in his position than that i
Of Lucas Pouille. But for his efforts against Nadal we'd have been looking at a 5 setter last night I reckon. Instead... There is a lot to be said for a good rest.

Who is McInroe's fellow commentator on Eurosport? Whoever he is, he's certainly no fan of Andy Murray
