    2016 US Open

The final Grand Slam of the season starts on Monday and Andy Murray has been paired against Lukas Rosol in round one.

    If it goes to form, his path to the final would be;

    Round one - Lukas Rosol
    Round two - Marcel Granollers
    Round three - Gilles Simon
    Last 16 - Feliciano Lopez
    Quarter Finals - Kei Nishikori
    Semi Finals - Stan Wawrinka
    Final - Novak Djokovic

That looks like a very tough draw to me and I would be very impressed if he can get through to the final this year.

Kyle Edmund also has a tough match in round one against Richard Gasquet.

He should aim to win it. That's the level he is at and while I appreciate it's tough, he should be aiming to not be content with semi finals etc, he should be disappointed with anything less than another grand slam in his locker

I'm sure he does feel like he can win it, he puts a lot of pressure on himself to perform.

However it is a tough draw he's got there. Assuming it goes with form, every single opponent he is going to face at this tournament has been ranked inside the top 30 within the last couple of years.

On Eurosport - Murray has just won the first set 6-4. He broke early, but was broken himself when serving for the set. Then he broke back straight away to win he set. Magic!!

I'm watching it, just won the second set 6-1.

He did his best to try and lose the first set from a commanding position but is now looking pretty comfortable.

Djokovic into 4th round by winning 1 match so far, hopefully Kyle Edmund can give him a game. Johanna Konta into 4th round too.

Murray wins the tie-break 7-4. Should win 3-0 now.

After going a break up, he's now 5-2 down in the second.

Del Potro through in straight sets against Ferrer.

    First set Evans

  27. #26
Murray dropping a set purely because I bet on him to won in straight sets.

    Evans wins the first set.

Again wawrinka likely to know my gambling pattern.

Lorenzi must be made of granite, he tries to chase down everything. Look at the state of his fingers too, he must be in agony.
