Huffed and puffed......panic set in after 1-1 and then got a break for the winner. Can and should do better but 6 points from 2 games
is the best points number possible.

Three points in the bag so a good result from that point of view, Lennon seemed to make the changes at the right time so hopefully we can improve again from that.
Well done the fans, impressive turn out and very vocal from what I could hear, great atmosphere on Hibs TV.
As others have alluded to, shame not many of the 400,000 made it to Pittodrie to see the yam continue their magnificent run of offences, kicking all before them, a couple for what sound like nasty challenges, still they will be happy to have got the four bookings.Last edited by Bostonhibby; 13-08-2016 at 04:05 PM.

So labored with 3 centre backs, no need at home in this league, looked so much more fluid once Boyle and Dylan on

Great to get the win but would drop some people for next week in Paisley. I know you are not allowed for whatever reason to say it but Stevenson offers nothing and Crane really deserves his chance. Would also go back to the use of wingers for the game bringing in Harris and Boyle don't get why we changed when it worked so well in preseason think that having wingers would help Holt aswell?

United playing like a top flight team in the lower leagues. Do well in the cups against better teams but can't figure out how to play against the weaker teams. Sounds like us when we first came down.
Maybe QOS will be right up there as they are no mugs.

Pleased to get the win but it can't be allowed to mask our deficiencies. 3-5-2 is not the answer.
We can't keep on having Gray and Stevenson being given the responsibility as our attacking outlets on the wings. I'm still not convinced by Keatings either, at least not in the position he played today. Holt does OK but it doesn't look like he'll score many for us which leaves Cummings as our only consistent goalscorer.
I want us to bring Hendo back but Lennon must see the other problems with the current squad. Boyle must start from now on and we need another wide player urgently. Plus another option up front.

Good 3 points, but the sooner the midfield is restored the better, welcome back Dylan and hopefully Fyvie shortly, otherwise it's going to be a struggle over the line.

Best ball we played all game came from McGeough. A lot of hopeful ones launched from the back. McGinn looked superb, they could only foul him off the ball. Bartley no use when he gets into the final 3rd. Keatings can whip in a good ball. Their goal was far too easy.

Not the prettiest but I'll take the 3 points. Mcginn is a class act, and keatings deliveries from dead balls werw great.
Cummings needs to learn to be less selfish. Keatings rightly shoved him away in annoyance after his goal for his earlier selfishness.

Would drop bartley next week.Harris has not done much to warrant a start next week.

I thought Cummings did well today, he's a striker and will be greedy at times. This season if he gets the ball back to goal, he looks to find a man.
I'm comfy with JC.

Cummings coming really deep for the ball today - liked it initially then started to get on my wick! Love him as a player / character but the 'get the ball on my left peg then shoot' routine, while effective, is quite predictable. 3 goals in 2 league games though...

I'll never complain at a striker being greedy, it should be part of their mentality imo. We've had a few through the years deeko,Griffiths etc, if he scores 25/30 goals this season he can be as greedy as he wants.

First half was ok. Got into good areas but were to slow with a final pass or there wasn't decent enough options. Still a bit slow in our build up play in general. Although we applied a lot of pressure from corners. Add the goal, Cummings header and the two McGinn shots, I would say we were unfortunate to not be a couple in front at HT.
Second we struggled at times and to their credit the pars scored a good goal, not seen it back but I think Fontaine got pulled badly out of position. Boyles introduction gave us more trickery and pace. Ultimately he set up the goal. We done ok after that. Improvements to be made, but if it's scrappy 2-1s for the rest of the season and we finish 1st I will be happy.
Credit to Dunfermline as well. One of if not the only team I can remember who have come to E.R recently to be organised and had a defensive set up but actually tried to play a bit football themselves at times.
Great turnout. On to Paisley!

Still think we need a couple of signings or three to give us more depth. However, Mcgeouch and Fyvie have been huge misses and I think we saw a difference when Dylan was introduced
