Thats quite early, it's an 8pm ko

Is there anything being arranged to get us all to the ground on foot?

Don't know the drinking laws over there but I guess we could take a carry out. We'd be there a good hour and a half before kick off.

15 minute train and then a 35 minute walk from the station to the stadium so likely to be at the ground for 6.25pm. I believe someone mention on another thread it is more common in Scandinavia to go to the stadium earlier.

Stadium is 12.5km from the Dubliner bar so not walkable.

Don't know whether we will be forced to get this train or not,

In terms of walking to the ground, you will be walking from Glostrup Station around 20-25 min walk

Booze is allowed in public in Denmark so carry out will be the order of the day, not allowed to be consumed on public transport however

Walk will be good, whether on Thursday is 21 degrees at 8.00pm KO time

Google suggests there is trains running to the same station every 10 mins. So the option is there if you don't want to take the Hibs special.

The Hibs train is running to Brøndbyøster St not Glostrup.

    Is there a return train?

    Any boozers near the ground?

I looked at google maps. The ground is right beside motorway. Not much else there.

I'd imagine so, we'll probably get an escort back to the station.

A quick look on googlemaps suggests no boozers around. Looks like what we would have had if we'd moved to Straiton - big purpose built stadium beside a motorway surrounded by warehouses and newbuild estates.

There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

Yup, but as this train is a Hibs special it will probably only have one stop and a police escort waiting for our arrival.

Seems way too early. The train journey cant be more than what 10-15 minutes and then a 25 minute stroll to the ground?

    Bars

If you’re at Brøndbyoster Station and feeling ready for a pitstop, head right when leaving the platform. Below the high rises, between some shops, you’ll find the MacDonald Pub (Nygaards Plads 2G). It’s decorated all over with kilt-wearing Scots, but otherwise smoky suburban pubs don’t come any more Danish than this.

There is a sports bar at the stadium, opens a couple of hours before kick off.
And I assume we can get a drink inside the ground as well.
    Every gimmick hungry yob,
Digging gold from rock and roll
Grabs the mic to tell us,
    He'll die before he's sold.

I think stadium alcohol sales are banned by UEFA for European competitions.

Would the sports bar at the ground not be home support only?

Is that new? We got beer OK at Malmo.

It seems there is a train to Brondbyoster every 10 minutes from Central station and takes 13 minutes. Arriving on the Hibs special and heading for a boozer with 500 odd travel weary Hibs fans could be problematic. Imagine the queue for the toilet.

Was definitely the case when I was at a Europa qualifier at Anfield in 2012 but I missed Malmo so they have possibly changed it. Good news if true as it will be 20+ degrees.
