    Matchplay Darts

    Started tonight in Blackpool.

Kyle Anderson and Robert Thornton early winners.

Van Gerwen currently 7-0 up and Rod Studd comments that Caven must feel like he has run into a truck. Not his finest line of commentary given recent events!

    Indeed - 10 - 0 final result.

Studd is fairly decent and I'll cut him some slack with the comment.

He is and I'm sure he realised right away as soon as he said it.

Anderson wins 10-1 against Norris and plays Jenkins next. Will be a tough as Jenkins usually gets the better of him for some reason.

Anderson can count himself lucky that going for the bull for a 161 checkout when Beaton was on about 210 wasn't a costly decision, ultimately he ended up winning the leg but, Im sure MVG or Taylor wouldve left themselves on a double. Did the business in the end though.

mon anderson at least make a game of it..****** appalling darts from him 11-4 down already, what's his record thumping

3 darts for anderson with 13 left...hits a 20 with his first dart... pure amateur stuff 16-7 one more needed to end the destruction, 17-8

He was appalling tonight. He's probably the worst player on the tour when he gets behind in a game.

Some very strange behaviour from Taylor last night during his humping in the final by MVG.

I was thinking the same. He has had years of being dominant and he can't handle someone beating easily. If anyone else had done that to him in a final when he was winning everything, he'd have been calling them disrespectful. The mans an arse.

He was a great player and can still beat most of the current top 10 with ease. MVG is a different kettle of fish and Taylor doesn't know how to beat him. I think his behaviour reflects the desperation he is feeling. His comments after the match were respectful enough.

Obviously he has been the best theres ever been until MVG came along but, your statement above sums him up as an individual.

Taylor is always the same. Acts the nice man and everything is rosey when he is doing well but when he gets beat, his true self comes out and he is like a petulant school boy. Arse of a man

Taylor was a total plank in that final. Very unprofessional and he would be fuming if someone did that to him.

He was mimicking mvg and winding up the crowd while mvg was throwing. Basically he was rattled and would be moaning like hell if anyone did that to him.

What a prick. I've always thought he was a prick - all his pishing about signing the board and that gets right on my tits.

Well at least it did - he doesn't win much now so he doesn't get the chance.
