    TITP Travel

Some of us have made a last minute decision to go for Saturday this year. Anyone know what the script is with travel? Id imagine most coaches will be full by now. Don't want to fork out for a taxi either. Any advice?

Ive not been to T for a good few years, but you used to be able to get a bus at St james center without booking. Basically you qould que up (queues were very big though) and they had lots of shuttle busses.......unless they ditched this, its the easiest cheapest way

I'll have a look cheers. Trying to avoid asking people for a lift. Ideally looking to come back to Edinburgh once Calvin Harris is finished on Saturday night.

Drive to Crieff via Perth. Shuttle bus from there I think. Will check and confirm tomorrow morning.

    I have a parking pass. :-)

Here is the info you are looking for

Please note that there are no suitable walking routes to or from the event. Local residents attending the event should NOT risk walking on the side of the road or through fields. The safest and best travel option for locals is a shuttle bus service being provided by Citylink.
If you are travelling from Auchterarder, Aberuthven, Gleneagles Station, Crieff, Muthill, Braco, Greenloaning and Blackford you can book and pay for tickets for these shuttle buses, provided by Scottish Citylink. In order to deliver the appropriate service and guarantee your space on board, Scottish Citylink advise booking tickets well in advance of the event.
Please visit http://www.citylink.co.uk/e_tparklocal.php for further info, to check availability and book tickets in advance. All local shuttle buses will drop off and pick up at the T in the Park Bus Station to the east of the site; a very short distance from the entrance to the festival. Pre booking is advisable by 3rd July.

Alternatively if being given a lift to and from the site, please use the Pick Up and Drop Off (PUDO.)

Coaches will take you to the bus station area at the east end of the site, closest to the main stage with Radio 1, Slam and King Tuts further away. enjoy.

That's pretty shocking. It's become a haven for junkies.

On a happier note, does anyone know if the stone roses are on TV tonight?

Stone Roses will be on stage about 10pm, so if the telly show is on after that then yes. My shift finishes at 7pm, but I have no intention of hanging on for any music, although Frightened Rabbit were on King Tuts about 9pm last night and I could have stayed on.

That led to NO cash being available on site yesterday, all cash machines were roped off and guarded by 2 police officers.

I last went to TITP about 8 years ago.

Whilst I know there are thousands of decent folk go, it's also a mecca for neds and the utter dregs of society. Last time I was there a group of guys decided it would be hillarious to set off fireworks in the campsite but to fire them horizontally rather than into the air. That's a really special kind of stupid. I like a drink as much as anyone and ingested more than my fair share of other substances in my younger days but the state some people seem determined to get into is ridiculous.

I'm quite happy to continue to give it a miss for the forseeable.

There were plenty other cash machines available in various locations. What was annoying though was the card payment system crashed so you couldn't use cards for a good few hours.

I was there on Saturday, absolutely soaked to the bone, out my dish with 4 of my pals and loved every minute of it. You can catch my starring role during Chasing Rainbows at the end of Shed Seven's set on the iplayer

They were the only band I saw, first 3 songs then back to what I was supposed to be doing.
