Lost the plot after that miss at the end of the 1st.

Plenty talent but seems mentally fragile, he's just given up.
I'm no head doctor but an interesting tattoo on his arm "Time is running out...." which could mean absolutely anything but I bet the quacks would have a field day with him.

Tsonga will be a test but expect Murray to have to much for him. Getting very interesting. Bad news is federer looked good to

It's amazing how Federers knee seems a lot better as Djokavic left the building. Just saying.

Well it would be extra incentive. Perhaps even more so than Murray, federer has suffered at the hands of Djokovic in the majors over the past year or so, so his absence is bound to increase federers belief he can win it

Kyrgios basically having a breakdown on court. Not got it in the head for the top level
He's a waster to be honest.

Woke up yesterday morning and played computer games and then a couple of hours before his match with Murray, he was watching Lleyton Hewitt playing doubles. That tells you a lot about his attitude.

He has a talent but doesn't want success badly enough.

Hardly a waster! He's top 20 in the world, you don't get there on talent alone.

I'd say he is, but it depends how you define 'waster' I suppose.

Being in the top 20, but not pushing yourself to become the best you can be, that makes him a waster in my opinion. He's wasting the talent he has, by not acting more like a pro. He should have been preparing for his match v Murray, but instead played on his computer and watched someone else's match. Djokovic didn't get to where he is by pissing about, I'm not saying he has the ability to get to Djokovic's level, but he's the youngest player in the mens top 20, and he'll never know how far he can go if he doesn't put all he can into it.

Waking up and playing computer games on the morning of a last 16 match at a Grand Slam (a match he was saying he could win) would suggest "waster" to me.

Totally unprofessional and I would also suggest that, at times against Murray, he wasn't trying.

What do you want him to do before the match? Exhaust himself by running a marathon? If he can get himself into the right mindset by playing video games, more power to him. Given that he played pretty well at the beginning, I'd say his match day routine worked better than if he focused on the match too much and psyched himself out.

There's probably a bit of middle ground between playing computer games and running a marathon. Sitting on your arse playing a computer can't be beneficial.

His match day routine obviously didn't work. He got pumped out 3-0.

How many chances has Cilic had on Federers 2nd serve and he's barely returned 1.

Are the courts usually as worn out? Seems bare!

Tie break in the 1st. Murray was a break up but was broken back. He seems edgy.

    Murray wins it 10-8.

Done well to scramble that after not playing all that well.

Hopefully that will be the breaker. Cmon Murray!

  19. #78
    Murray breezes the 2nd 6-1. 26 minutes.

Tsonga looks like he might be struggling a bit.

    Berdych.

He's in a bit of bother in the 3rd though. Tsonga serving for the set.

Tsonga is far from out of this. Third set to Tsonga.

    You can get 11/1, Tsonga.

Murray breaks in the 4th. He had to dig deep to hold his serve a few times here.

    4-2.

    Tsonga breaks back. Anybody's game.

Hope Murray gets this one finished. If not it leaves a choice between seeing this out and the football.

I think that Tsonga is playing better shots than Murray and if he wins this set, he'll probably go on and win.
