Austria. Cracking record in qualifying for the competition, in comparison to others quite a weak group and with David Albala (schuss the spelling) one of the best youngish players around.

For a supposed contender, their defense is bowfin.
Prefer Belgium at around the same price. De Bruyne to rip it up.

Without going over scotlands qualifying.... its interesting that posters have tipped all three teams that qualified from our group...albeit outsiders, apart from germany. We really did have a tough group.

I wouldn't write off the Spanish, and I have a sneaky suspicion Sweden could do well.

Defensively their a bit suspicious but Smallings coming in off the back of the best season he's had.

Thomas Muller at around 7/1 to be top scorer seems a decent bet to me. Backed the Germans to win as well cos they are never far away.
Italy could be a decent each way shout as they have a solid defence.

If Germany play to form they win. Despite not having a proper Euro class striker they still have the best squad. I think Spain could be a good bet. Pressure off after a winning run and poor World Cup. They still have an unbelievable amount of talent.

Think France will do it. You can never rule out Germany but they will have to get past France in the semi-final and I can't see it ...
Be nice to see England and Wales give a decent account of themselves ... just hope there is no trouble anywhere

£10 on Italy at 16/1. France or Germany will probably win it but didn't see much value in those prices!

Germany to win it. Belgium and Croatia the ones to watch and Slovakia to be the real dark horse, outside bet.

Euro bets placed.
France to win/Pogba to be best player in the tournament
Germany to win/Ozil to be best player in the tournament
Belgium to win/De Bruyne to be best player of the tournament
Austria to win/Alaba to be best player of the tournament

My wife is half Austrian so would love to see them do well, but I can't see them winning it, even in the year of the underdog. Traditionally I've always liked Portugal, but I can't get away from the fact that Ronaldo is an arrogant fanny. At the price I'd definitely fancy Italy(16/1), with Sweden as an interesting wee outside bet (100/1).

Desperate for this. A 1982 performance all over again would be fantastic. The defence is great but we need to find a Paolo Rossi or Toto Schillacci unexpectedly and Pirlo needs to have the swansong tournament of his life. We know how to play tournaments, but so do the Germans...

I think they might do better than that.

Belgium for me, great mix of youth, experience, plenty fans no doubt backing them at each game and some absolutely cracking fitba players in that squad, good odds too.

Enflandshire fans have already been going mental and throwing chairs across courtyards. Keep on trucking guys, you are doing what you always do hopefully just like your team.
