Good tie if this happens. Think we'd get a decent crowd as well for it.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Years ago they had Dennilson on the left wing and Joaquin on the right wing, arguably the 2 best wingers in the world at that time. Thought Joaquin was a brilliant player, always remember the disallowed goal against South Korea in the 2002 World Cup, 1 of the worst decisions ever made.

Ive checked out their forums and wbsites and cant see anything. They are playing in the Dresden cup at the end of July though with Everton and Werder Bremen.

Was in Madrid a couple of years ago and bumped into the Betis team leaving their hotel to go and play Real.
Not sure if any of these guys still play for them.
Would be a good battle of the green & whites.

Always had a man crush on Joaquin . They had some midfield back then . Pretty sure he's back at the club as well.

I don't fly home from Portugal until the 10th so I'll miss this if it's true.

It's probably nothing, but I do know someone from the club was over for a betis game earlier in the season and spoke to the stadium manager etc... There, so might be something in it.

There's a crowd of Betis fans who have made the Polwarth Tavern there unofficial supporters club in Edinburgh. Pretty impressive group turn up when Betis are on the tele.

Betis due to return from holidays on 7th July with medicals that day so 9th might be a bit rushed . German tournament is 29th / 30th July . Temperatures in Seville are very high in summer and I know Betis have played several friendlies in England in recent years so wouldn`t surprise me if they come to Scotland too . Would be much better to play them in August if both teams have a free date than in July when Betis would probably field a weak team and make 11 subs at half time .

Been to a few Betis games this year. My la liga side and fairly local. Would be a good tie that I think I would miss!

Hibs have never played at Easter Road on my birthday, 9th July. According to ihibs there's only ever been one game on that date in 1967 when we got a 1-1 draw against Glentoran in the North American League.
I never thought we'd see us lift the Scottish Cup and we did :-) and I never thought I'd see Hibs play on my birthday.
What a Hibs year I'm having!Space to let
