Cup Final
Will the final be on in Quinns? Looking unlikely I will get a ticket so planning on heading into the smoke to watch it.

Have you tried the sleeper train on Friday night? Check for availability, 23:50 departure from Euston, 07:21 arrival in Edinburgh. Or you can get the sleeper to Glasgow. They are selling tickets in the seated section for £50 if you're very quick at booking.Last edited by Hermit Crab; 18-05-2016 at 03:21 PM. Reason: More info.

I can confirm that the match will be on at Quinn's and we have been allocated both the Brasserie and Piano Bar. As numbers are expected to be somewhat larger than normal, I would suggest that those wanting to be seated in the Brasserie get there as early as they can as numbers are limited.
The Brasserie and Piano Bar will be closed to the public but we have no access to the Orangery. And a note to all (especially newcomers) there is a strict no jeans and trainers policy. Please don't say you haven't been warned.
Food and drink wise, upon arrival there will be a glass of champagne for all in attendance. Pierre has ordered 6 suckling pigs which will be cooked outside in the Japanese garden on the charcoal rotisseries. People can simply help themselves throughout the day. The kitchen will be closed, but there will be after match canapés served. There is NO Vegetarian option.
This weeks house wine is a 2013 Bressia Monteagrelo Malbec, Mendoza 14.0% from Argentina. Full and a little wild with bramble fruit and a note of tobacco and jock strap. Priced at £16.99 per bottle and supplied by the fine folks at winesofinterest.co.uk
I'll be up for the match but hope to see you all next season

Heading up on the Friday night sleeper from Euston. Knowing my luck I will be sharing the compartment with a bigoted Hun

I'm working on the sleeper that leaves at 21:16, not the one you're on at 23:50. Enjoy your berth
