    Play Off Matches at Quinn's

Just a brief update folks, but as you probably know, the play-off quarter final ties against Raith Rovers aren't being covered on TV, so Quinn's or anywhere else for than matter is a non-starter.

All going well, the semi-final matches against Falkirk are both being shown via BT Sport. We have reserved the Piano Bar and have the option to also book the Orangery for both matches. Ditto the play-off final.

I will keep y'all updated regards to the Cup Final on the 21st as we've been secured the Brasserie, not only for a 3 course pre-match lunch, but also after match for either celebrations or gins.

I'll send out an email to all on the list to confirm times and will also update the forum.

Always a pleasure to meet up with the exiles if I'm in the smoke BrummieHibs, Scott, Graeme Pat and Alex I salute you all and the old guard from days of yore Brian, Kev, Stuart and Mike MacSherry and Mike Inglis? (webmaster). Without you guys swanning off the Paris I wouldn't have met my wife....

For those in the big smoke and swithering get yourself along there...

I remember it as if it was only yesterday (not quite, but you get my gist). The pub in Wells Street (that I can't recall it's name but it's long gone) and it was Brazil vs Scotland. The football was secondary (it normally is with us anyway!)

Back on subject, we're not expecting too many in attendance on Tuesday as a number are away on business commitments (myself included) so we will simply be in the Piano Bar from 18:00 onwards. For those wanting to dine, Pierre will serve us dishes from his award-winning Spring menu. On Tuesday; Cornish Sea Trout with Sorrel, Samphire and Smoked Eel Cream. You can eat either before or after the match as we have the Piano Bar for the duration of the evening (and the kitchen won't close until 23:00).

Big numbers are expected on Friday and we will use both the Piano Bar and Orangery and we will be served Roast New season Lamb with Wild Garlic Pesto, English Asparagus, Peas and Creamed Jersey Royals. Again, dining available before or after the match.

This weeks house wine is 2015 Berry Bros. & Rudd Eden Valley Riesling Torzi Matthews Vintner at 19.99 per bottle (limited stock and may not be available on Friday).

    See you on Friday.

I gave myself the night off on Tuesday. What at one stage last week looked to have been a rather presumptuous decision is now paying dividends as the menu sounds superb. Better dust off the dinner jacket.

Was it my old Grey wool blend patched pockets notched lapels blazer from Giorgio Armani. I lost it after a famous 0-0 draw against Livi earlier this season.

See you tomorrow, undoubtedly suitably attired.

Unfortunately I won't be in attendance tonight. Flight back up the road from Stansted at 6. If it's anything like usual flights from there I will be struggling to catch the game!

If we get through I will be around next week again.
