I bought it, think it'll be close - i don't know loads about Martin, but i think AJ will need to have upped his game from his last fight. I think he got a fright in that one and was shown up a little bit, albeit he won fairly spectacularly in the end.

Going to a friends house to watch, looking forward to it. Like most I don't know too much about Charles Martin, but by all accounts he's not to be taken lightly like the vast majority of Joshua's opponents to date.
The Dillian Whyte fight showed that AJ has a long way to go and perhaps isn't the most talented boxer out there, there's no denying his speed and power is scary though.
Decided to stick £20 on Martin at 4/1 as I don't think those odds reflect the balance of the fight. They even have odds up for possible future fights and AJ is favourite against Tyson Fury which beggars belief to be honest.

Joshua has to go in and box.
I think the Whyte fight was a useful one in that regard as it taught him that he can't just blast everyone out in the 1st or 2nd round as he steps up the levels. I've only seen Martin twice and he's decent but beatable. If Joshua is disciplined and gets his shots away at the right time I can see him winning by stoppage late on.PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years

I really like Joshua. But I'm not sure if this is a fight too soon.
There's a danger that people are underestimating Martin. If Joshua wins he'll be tested but I'm undecided just now.

Joshua within 5. Really think he's something special although he looks like he's using PEDS

Think Joshua will likely do it but I've stuck a tenner on Martin to win by KO as the lad can certainly bang, and if you can do that you tend to win a lot of fights in the heavyweight division.

Or any ideas for other places showing it?
Edit: Harp & Castle not showing it. Sportsters are but it's ticketed. Free tickets can be ordered on the website.Last edited by Speedy; 09-04-2016 at 03:55 PM.

Benn fed a dummy, Groves in a different class to Brophy. Bring on the big guys.

Hearn isn't daft. 3 fights as favourite for AJ to build the hype before fighting Fury.

AJ must have got a selfie with half the crowd. Nearly an hour after the fight, he was still chatting away to punters in the seats. 10/10, he seems a genuine guy who really appreciates the fans.
Did Hearn really say that he was going to put on a Joshua show at Wembley Stadium July th, the same night as Fury v Klitschko in Manchester? That's a bit naughty!

Fury might be a tube, but he's a two belt world champion. Joshua was handed a belt, rather than beating a ten year champion.
Joshua doesn't want near Fury!
Fingers crossed haye wins his fight, because hos speed would be too much for either joshua or fury.

Joseph Parker is fighting in an IBF title eliminator in Auckland next month - he is no.1 contender if he wins.
He's 18-0, 16 KOs. Some over here reckon he'd be too quick for Joshua. Would be a really interesting fight anyway.
Here's a clip of his highlights - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=V_t6wdLq9LA

Hope this fight happens soon but if it takes a while it won't be because of either fighter avoiding the other.
