Words used by politicians that annoy you

Annoying buzz words & phrases that are just flannel.

    Robust
    Broad shoulders
But it's important to remember this....

Not words but that thing they do with their hand when they're making speeches. It's like they are holding an invisible stick and pointing it at you.

    'Hard working families... '

A phrase that is well overused and usually without further context so it means absolutely **** all.

The minute one of them starts answering a question with the word 'listen' you know they're going to go off on a complete tangent and get nowhere near answering the original point.

Any of the wide variety of noises made during PMQs which are not actual words.

In fact, just any of the words used during PMQs full stop. Complete waste of time and of absolutely zero benefit to our democracy.

Collateral damage, their way of saying killing innocent civilians is unavoidable und therefore no need to have a guilty conscience.

Ed Milliband used to say 'let me answer that directly...' before spouting a lot of waffle and not answering the question at all

'People in the city of London' as if the average person that works there is a millionaire banker and caused/benefited from the financial crises.

"When we came into power" as a lead in to blaming the last lot for something they've got wrong.

That one has got on my nerves for years.

    Meaningless drivel.

Still being trotted out regularly too.

'Free' services...a recent SNP flyer I received through the door had a long list of all the free things they have provided Scotland.

I was amazed for example that further eduction is free in Scotland..I mean all those lecturers and staff providing their services for nothing, now that is impressive.
