Lawrie Reilly had The Bowlers Rest (or was it Bowlers Arms?) near the docks, just off Constitution St.

Really excellent programme & very clever the way it was done. I thought Tom Wright came over extremely well, congrats Tom. One v minor gripe, I would have liked them to mention that only goal average, we would have won it on goal difference, prevented us winning the league for a 3rd consecutive season & 4 times in 6 seasons. Well done Alba!

Again they mentioned Gordon Smith having an un-credited part in 'To catch a thief' starring Cary Grant and Grace Kelly - ever since I found this out, every time it's on, I watch it closely to see if I can spot him (it's the beach scene, early on in the film) but have yet to catch him - anyone help ?

John Ogilvie was very entertaining to listen to - he sounds great company.
I do envy those fortunate to have seen this great side in it's pomp.

At almost 84 that was an hour of pure nostalgia for me .
Played pro for just over two years but was never " Hibs Class " !
Fulfilled one ambition which was to play " down the slope " at Easter Road ( once)
My second ambition was not to be unfortunately as only " The famous Four" were playing ( Bobby J was injured ) the day I made it !
"When will we see their likes again " ?

It's a shame there isn't more footage in existence of the Five banging in the goals. What there is we've mostly seen before. So the show had to be spun out a bit.
Good to see Alastair Alexander again - a real old school football reporter - and I thought Bobby Johnstone's daughter was a star - her intelligent face and soft Manchester voice reminding us that her dad moved to City after Hibs.

From what I've read (Prince of Wingers) Gordon Smith travelled to Stuttgart to pick up his new Porsche and stopped off at Le Mans on the way home sadly to witness the most horrific racing crash in history.
