A brilliant watch. The days when it wasn't all about money and was more about wanting to play football week in week out.
Can you imagine the number of goals the Famous Five would have scored if they were playing with the ball used nowadays, and not a leather football that weighed a ton.Last edited by iwasthere1972; 24-01-2016 at 09:07 PM.

Magnificent programme.
Hearing the intro to Sunshine On Leith never fails to get the hairs on the back of my neck to stand up.

As said above a great watch.
Really makes you appreciate how special the club is and how protective of it we should be.PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years

Very well done to BBC Alba. A fine tribute to our club legends. Great to hear JOhn Oglivie's recollections too. I wonder if there are any other from that team still alive?

A lovely tribute to great players whose memories will be passed from one generation to another.
This wee film got it just right by showing that footballers of that time played for the team with no other thought than to win for their team
Makes you proud to support our great club. Well done BBC Alba!
OH.......and wasnt Pat Stanton brilliant!

Famous Five Documentary
As a 33 year old who didn't fully appreciate the history of the famous five I certainly do now. Emotional documentary and very well shared by all involved!
Top marks.
At Easter Road we play...

That was superb! Emotional stuff at the end. If there's a more emotive song in the world than SOL then I sure as heck ain't heard it. So sad that they never managed to win the Scottish, incredible really.
Back when players played for the love of the game and not the money. Must have been incredible times to be a fan

Lots of footage of the old old east terrace as it was being developed into the huge terracing that alot of us remember.

A great watch. I just missed out on that team but my Dad always spoke about them and how great they were. My memories of games start around the early 70's - not a bad time either!! Well done Alba.

Re the money-don't kid yourself. The players often had a job getting their boots on because of the folding stuff inside
Gordon Smith once came out of training to find a sports car waiting for him as a "present".

Wonder if current players are made fully aware of the Club's history when they sign. It would be good to know that they sense just how privileged they are to pull on the jersey.
A very fitting tribute and lovely to hear from family members.
