I thought it was W4I that instigated the investigation after reporting missing money? They've done absolutely nothing wrong so hopefully shouldn't be tarred by any alleged fraudulent activities by Ms McGarry.
I agree. She was one of the leading lights though.

Thank goodness this appears to be an isolated incident.
Politicians have always been held in the highest esteem for their honesty and integrity.

If found guilty, she should resign or be binned. Not only will she have shamed herself but she will have tarnished her party and colleagues.

I thought you were on her side as well

I'm sure you said you wished she was innocent

Can you tell us if Marie Rimmer has removed herself from the Labour Party? She is after all on the Justice committee in the commons representing Labour.

    This lassie was "ACTUALLY CHARGED"

Now that McGarry has been ACTUALLY CHARGED you have nothing to say?

I'm happy that due process is proceeding in this case, and if Natallie, or any politician has been found to break the law, then they should face the consequences.

Still waiting on the rimmer result.

McGarry is a social media car crash but as the charges are legal due process where there will likely be a trial then it's best to say nothing about them.

Hopefully McGarry and Law hand these links to their lawyers straight away. That should see them cleared in no time.

I tried that with Mrs Beefster once but no dice.

This puts anything the SNP MPs have done wrong in the shade.

Scotland can be a beacon, within these islands and beyond, for a socially just and sustainable society. Whilst there are many priorities which will require independence, there is also much that can and must be done now by the Scottish Parliament and the Scottish Government.

Am I? I don't vote SNP, so I don't see how it is point scoring. I am just pointing out some of the hypocrisy of those who take pleasure in attacking the parties they oppose. I suppose I could have started a new thread about naughty Labour politicians instead.

I know you vote Green but you rarely mention Green policies, most of your posts are praising and defending one of the rival parties, the SNP.
I don't get how you highlighting this politician exposes the hypocrisy of anyone offering an opinion of others to be honest. It looks more like a case of 'what about?'

I'm sure he'll be dealt with accordingly but using your logic, Eric Joyce getting pished and punching folk is fine because it's not as bad as embezzlement.

The whataboutery that always comes up on threads relating to the SNP, from both sides, is really quite sad.

Shocked at this. If guilty hope he is locked up. I've known him through the Labour Party for a number of years. He's worked for both MSPs & MPs and was chair of SPT.

I hope that she innocent. I hate the idea of a group being deceived by one of there own.

But questions need to be asked off the SNP on their vetting and selection process as some reports in media saying the SNP knew in March. 30k is a lot of money, serious jail time IF she is guilty.
I hope he's innocent. I hate the idea of a group being deceived by one of their own. How are those vetting procedures holding up.

In all seriousness, this laddie was one for the Labour future and may have blotted his copybook.

I've never heard of him but if he's guilty I hope they hammer him.

But do you think it's appropriate to try and score political points over something as serious as this?

    I couldnae help masel.

Just thought it appropriate on a thread that you started about a politician letting their own down. I'm sure him and Kezia had a wonderful holiday in the States though.

Somewhere more severe than stealing but less severe than paedophilia seems like a decent level.
