The Hibernian Community Foundation are entering a team into this year’s Christmas Charity Festival, run by Great Scottish Events, and the Hibs first team are right behind us! To show their support, they've donned the red suit, but can you tell who's behind the beard in the first of our 12 Days of Hibee santas... We'll tell you tomorrow who it is, and post our second santa!
You can sign up for the event by visiting the Christmas Charity Festival website - www.christmascharityfestival.com - and registering for the Hibernian Community Foundation Team, or you can simply make a donation by visiting https://www.justgiving.com/HibernianCommunityFoundation2015.
Monies raised will help us to deliver more programmes in our communities, including community football for all ages, fitness programmes for Hibs fans and a range of learning opportunities through the Hibernian Learning Centre. The event itself takes place in Inverleith Park over two days, 5 and 6 December, with the sponsored activities taking place on the Sunday. There are a range of activities to suit all abilities - from walking 10k to running 5k or 10k. And there’s even a Golden Tinsel Walk with 1, 2 and 3 mile routes, and a Santa Toddle for the under 6s. Live bands, stalls and Santa’s grotto will make it a fun event for the whole family.
