For some people that still are not best pleased about the state of the squad, I think a bit of perspective is needed. We finished 2nd last season and have kept all of our main players except Scott allan.
Our signings;
Reguero - back up goal keeper
Mcgregor - rangers player of the season
Bartley - never knew much about him but added much needed steel
Mcginn - one of Scotland best youngsters
Carmichael - QOS best player
Henderson - one of Scotland best youngsters
Feruz - one of Scotland best youngsters
Keatings - proven goalscorer and been promoted twice
Anier - gives us something different/physical side and goal scorer
Plus extending the deals of our main players...Fyvie, mcgeouch, Boyle and fontaine.
I'm sure if someone told you we would sign all them before the transfer window you would bite there hand off.
Also it looks like we have signing easton and insall for the development/first team.

I agree. I think it's been a good window. The Twitter reaction to Anier signing was cringeworthy. He'll do a job in this league from what I've seen of him. Some fans are never happy. Dreaming of Stokes and May, who we did go for but couldn't afford them. Sometimes, you need to take that on the chin and accept that we've done some top business this season. Islam Feruz will be a revelation, in my opinion.

Don't see what more a team in our situation could do & certainly surpassed my expectations.
If we can fashion a team out of the players we have I don't think we will be far away at the end of the season.

Good post.
Decent business by the club this summer, well done all concerned including the fans who help make this happen via tickets , shares, merchandise etc.
We have a strong squad on paper, now all aboot making doing it on the pitch, consistently with wins.
IMHO the team started to take shape last week against Raith, with the new additions and Fyvie / Farid to come back we have a chance.

Heffernan - scored alot of goals, I never particularly rated him but people were happy he signed
Tudor Jones - really good at caley and people were buzzing we got him
Mcgivern - brilliant in his first season
Craig and Roberts on - 2 good spl proven midfielders
Marbury - reliable steady right back
Collins - shocked we got him. Great record in England
It shows just how bad butcher was.
I'm not for a second saying the team were good, just that before hibs they were and when we signed most of them we were impressed

Very pleased with this transfer window! Surprised folk are still having a moan / being pessimistic about it.
If the team is as good on the pitch as it is on paper we should be having a very good season!

It just shows regardless of how some squads look on paper it's what they do on the pitch that counts. Hibs appear to yo have a decent squad now it's time for them to show it on the pitch.
