    Second half, same team.

Worry continues, has Stubbs not realised the tactics aren't working?

Interesting to read comments here after watching first half on Hibs TV and listening to balanced / realistic commentary . We`re dominating possession and playing some good football like in so many games since we were relegated but don`t really look like scoring . Not sure what problem is - can`t criticise goalie or defence ( except maybe we`re mssing goals from Fontaine and Hanlon - they both scored a few last season ) and midfielders are playing well especially Fyvie . That leaves Boyle and Cumming . I admit I`ve never been convinced by either but at Championship level they are good players and against Stranraer should be standouts . Pass to Cummings on his right foot , pulls it back to left while three defenders get back then watch a harmless cross to nobody or a 30 - yard shot with no danger . Pass to Boyle who is fast and little else . Making it very easy for their defence . Anyway hopefully we`ll get goal our dominance deserves and improve in future .

TEMPO. we need to increase this in every game we play. TEMPO.
    I know!
You'd think that constant movement and running would be a standard part of a footballers repertoire, let alone a professional. Stubbs has got this way way off. Funny how we managed to look decent against Rangers and Hearts last season. The style he is adopting seems geared at playing tight matches against strong opposition. To be expected if he has been watching a mid table EPL team for last while. The whole of last season should have given him chance to reassess how to set up against lesser ability sides.

McGregor just elbowed Stranaer playing in face in front of linesman and got away with it!

McGreggor absolutelt poleaxes a Stranraer player with an elbow, assault really. How the linesman missed it is beyond me as he was a yard away. Should have been off.

it's maybe a bluff, the stranraer manager would be expecting stubbs to change tactics...but he's not

Fully expect us still to win this game, but peoples concerns are over why we are not putting these sorts of games out of sight quickly. These are the sorts of games that we should be wrapping up early and allowing young players to get a run out. Instead we are huffing and puffing, getting to half time at nil nil will only be increasing confidence for one team and it isnt us.

Stranraer player, clearly fed up of Hibs players missing his goal from close range, decides to do it himself. 1-0.
