To play or not to play

Now McGinn has signed would you play Allan and McGinn from the start tomorrow?

I would so it would give Scotty a taste of what the partnership could be like and also to give him a chance to show us he's committed while he's here

It sounded like McGinn wasn't going to be fit for tomorrow.

McGinn is still coming back from injury. Probably not registered in time anyway, if you believe the reports.

Allan. Like it or not he's still our best player and there's no point keeping him if we're not going to play him. Can't wait for John McGinn to get fit either, he's a cracker.

Allan's head must be all over the shop at the mo, so cannot see him being asked to play.

    Play him..

    Cup tie him..

He's our best player and I'm sure his head is fine - looked fine when he came on last week !

After Stubbs' and Dempster's comments this week, I fully expect Allan to play tomorrow. If he doesn't (and it's at his behest), I think it will be a long, lonely season for him.

This is where the head coach earns his money. His call, his judgement, as to who plays.

Bring SA on for last 10 mins. Cup tie him (even if its a meeky moose cup)...
But its down to the Boss. He decides he plays SA . He (AS) knows better than me...

Only 1 person on the planet that decides this and it's the right one.

BTW If Hibs.net turns into an Allan watch we have FAILED.

Play him. Simple as. He is our player and a good one at that.

  14. #13
I think he will play. We are short of options in an attacking sense and he's our most creative player.

If Scott Allan does play tomorrow...

Hopefully all Hibs fans will be able to put aside their personal displeasure at the way he has treated the club and get behind him and the team. Any negativity can only have a damaging effect upon the whole team.

He is a good player and can still play a big part for us this year, but that will be made more difficult if he is being hounded from the stands.

McGinn is SA's long term replacement then?

I reckon he'll start from the bench again

If we're talking about Allan, I'd play him from the start. 45 mins against Montrose and and we'll know where he's at. Even if he's just doing OK bring him back out for the 2nd half. If he's fannying about, Stubbs hooks him at half time and has a word. Something along the lines of “look son, your here for the season so you'd better get that finger out yer bum and show the world what you can do. If not, see them guys over there in the east stand? Well that's where and who you'll be sitting with every Saturday for the season". Course, he could go out and bang in a couple of goals and put it all to bed :)

I think it's important that we get back to normal asap, and that means playing Scott.

Why are people saying that we should cup tie SA? The club has said he's going nowhere so are you"s not believing that he won't be sold? SA should start today as he's a good player and has the skill to get us to the next round. Also gonna no boo him

Thinking back to last week's midfield, we have to play Allan from the start today.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

If Allan is fit there should be no question, he plays simple as that.

If Scott Allan plays he's an absolute nap to be first goalscorer.
