    Gamer IDs

Gamertag: Eh? PSN ID: No comprendo, senor. Wii Code: What's a Wii?

Films that claim to be historically accurate but aren't.

Just wasted two hours of my increasingly precious time watching "The Imitation Game".

Why can't screen-writers pay at least a modicum of respect to historical truth? This was billed as history but most of it was complete and utter bilge.

It used to be the Americans who distorted the truth (usually to portray themselves as the great geniuses/heroes who won every war that ever was) but now it seems screen-writers more and more frequently just make it up as they go along.

And it seems to be overflowing into documentary-making as well. Some of the stuff I've seen recently on Discovery and Yesterday is just as bad.

As I've matured, I've started to doubt the veracity of Bigfoot and the Hendersons.

Nope. It's a pre-destination paradox. If they are going to travel back to that time then they already have.

Aye, John Wayne at the end drawling "He must have been the son of Gad" is the funniest thing I've ever seen in the movies, especially as thinks he is 'seriously' acting.

    Oi!

In the United Kingdom the film was originally released as Bigfoot and the Hendersons

But how do we know that the events in the film weren't real and the stuff in the books isn't the stuff that's been made up?

I like a lot of Vietnam war movies but no idea how historically correct they are or aren't.
