Tbh I didn't see much from Djedje that suggested he was going to be a great signing for us. I accept we didn't see a lot of him though.
I think it was always likely a striker was going to leave the club and if I had to pick any to go he would have been the one.

Djedje was only here briefly and never secured a regular spot, so I hope he does better in future.

My uneducated guess is that he was deemed as able cover for Farid while injured and covered us risk wise if Farid had complications in his rehab in terms of next season. Now with that risk seemingly out the way he's free to go and it may be that his contract or the agreement we had with him was always clear on this.

He was never more than a stopgap signing and we'd never have signed him had Farid not been injured. He was ok but him and with a full transfer window we can find someone better, and have already with Keatings.
