Would be surprised if there is any announcement today on anything Hibs related, given the fact Scotland are playing at ER tonight and the press will be full of that rubbish.
Any news, if any, will more likely come early next week to maximize publicity.

Surely, from Hib's point of view, the earlier any good news about signings and extensions is released the bigger the impact on STs sales. There are only a few days left to renew existing STs so any "good news" announcements would help shift a good few.

With Hibs pushing for season ticket renewals and only having 4 days to guarantee your seat, maybe an announcement today would be about right to get folks to sign up.

with Head Coach Alan Stubbs kean to strengthen early to help with preparations for the new season.
Seems as though the website isn't proof read or is it a clue

Do people really expect Allan to sign an extension? I hope he stays this year but I doubt he'll be comitting to longer this summer.

Similar to Scott Brown
He signs a new deal that gives him improved terms along with the promise from Hibs that we won't stand in his way if a good money offer comes in
Win/win
Scott Allan is a good lad who appreciates the opportunity given to him by Hibs - he'll do the right thing

IIRC GOC signed an extension so as Hibs could get a good deal for him, he only had 6 months left and because of the interest from Russia he signed an extra year so we made a few bob from him.

If I remember rightly JC told interested parties that Brown and Thompson were worth £squillions and their agent then said if they are worth that much then they should be getting paid accordingly and that's what kicked it all off.

Yep think so, I seem to remember Petrie saying something like these guys are £2m footballers and the agent saying well if that is the case pay them wages a £2m footballer would earn.
