The terms "scenes" or "absolute scenes" used to describe something surprising/entertaining.

Sure.. "unbelievable scenes" or something along those lines make sense and I like... but something isn't just "scenes".

It’s a great point and I’ve started to hate myself a little bit for using that term now I’m thinking about it.

I don't know but it's an expression I like. Watching Neil McCann during the Dundee match on Hibs TV, I was surprised to see that v-neck jumpers are still a thing.
