    Apprenticeships

    Anyone know anywhere good to look or any good company's that take on Apprentices in the building trade? Plumbing, joinery, plastering etc.

    Lol... Try Scottish gas for plumbers,, EDF if nuclear engineering takes your fancy and network rail also do them

    Applied to the British Gas one but yet to hear back. Also applied to Arthur McKay and McGills. Only downside is you have to sit an aptitude test for those two before being considered.


    Question... What age would you say it's too late to start an apprenticeship at? I'm nearly 19.

    Never too late, still young enough to be considered, I alsi know a couole of blokes in late 20's who started apprenticeships with Sharkeys as joiners.

    Never too late.. If you are over 18 you are also entitled to minimum wage so can make it a bit easier being older. I started my second apprentiship when I was 19 . means you don't have 2 years of **** wages

    The Government's Modern Apprenticeship scheme allows people up to 24.

    ifire uk are advertising for an apprentice local company too.
