    Well done Fraser!

He's an intelligent and capable footballer, I am sure he can only improve next season.

This is a theory rather than any info I have received.

I think it will be players who are today now out of contract.

If a player under 24 has not been offered a new contract by the end of his current contract then he is free to sign for any club without a development fee being payable.

    Jason Holt anyone?

would be a strong signing, I think he has done well at Sheff United, so I expect they, or maybe even some championship clubs will be in for him - so I think that will take him out of our range...

I agree, but I'm sure Sheffield Utd have said they aren't interested which I was surprised at.

Like I said earlier it's pure guesswork on my part.

We were interested back in January but Hearts wouldn't even contemplate the idea, this plus he's a Musselburgh laddie was my logic.

Delighted with us signing Fyvie up! Brilliant stuff from Stubbs and LD :D

  17. #76
There will be a few raised eyebrows around Scottish football at this news I reckon, although some might (wrongly IMO) see it as a lack of ambition on Fyvie's part. I hope he proves them wrong and this is really the start of a something big at ER.

Great news, excellent signing...perculiar that the EEN decides to run with a negative Hibs story regarding a loanee we had last season rather than report on a 2 year signing

Let's tie down Stevenson and Fontaine too !
We all love a bit of bondage, but if we can sign those two along with Fyvie it will be a great start to the transfer window?

The EEN is a Hearts fanzine, LH. Of that I'm convinced and I won't buy it.

The EEN is a morning paper now. The signings were announced too late for today's edition. Used to be good when it was printed in Edinburgh and you got the early editions at noon and the late/final edition after 5. Kept up with all the day's news. Just another morning rag now.
