Does anyone have any recommendations for bank/credit cards to use abroad ?
This was mentioned on here a while back but as usual i cant find the thread
Looking to just use the card for meals etc and pay it off in full when home to hopefully avoid any fees etc.
Also , if i take a card with 0% on purchases for x amount of months , does this include spending abroad (europe)
Current card says it will charge me 2.5% on every purchase ontop of the normal rate.
Cheers

Norwich & Peterborough debit card looks the best to me - interest & fee free withdrawals and purchases (need to open a current account and deposit £500 a month though)
Halifax Clarity is regarded as the best credit card. Interest on withdrawals but no fee and no fee/interest on purchases.
Nationwide FlexDirect credit card also interest/fee free for purchases but charges for withdrawals.
Not sure on the 0% question. Would imagine it could vary by card.

Very easy to use, fee-free when using abroad and you can load funds etc. via an app on your phone.

I usually go with a Post Office credit card for spending (the Halifax Clarity is better if doing withdrawals) and a Ukash travel money card for spending and withdrawals. In the states I also go with a FairFX just in case but the Ukash generally has better exchange rates.
