A Hearts fan is running the marathon in a Hibs strip to raise money for Marie Currie Cancer Care in honour of his Hibs - supporting cousin who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.
Good luck to him with the run and the fundraising. A reminder if it's ever needed that there are many many more important things in life than football.

Good luck to him and his cousin in his battle.
Anything to help fight this horrible disease deserves credit.

Well done to the guy. Must admit when I saw the thread title I thought it was another one of those 'Let's ridicule our city rivals' type posts - how wrong can I be.
Some things are more important than football. Good luck to the Jambo runner and his Hibee cousin, God bless them both.

Yep - good luck to the guy - looked for a donations page but no sign?

A great and touching gesture - enough to inspire a tenner from me anyway

Reminds me of Red Nose Day one year. A Hibs and Hearts fan decided to wear the others football top for charity.
They handed over the tops the day before. The Hibee then went and got 0-7 printed on the back of the yam strip.
The Jambo wasn't amused when he turned up at work.

A brilliant gesture by somebody who is devoted to his club but recognizes that there are things far more important in life worth fighting for. Good on him and hope he completes it.

Great gesture but I suspect he will cop enormous abuse on Keechback.

There are twats everywhere but I could only imagine 99.9% of people would acknowledge that this is a great thing to do.

I ran the great north run with a hearts supporting acquaintance a few years ago. I ran in the hearts top and he did it in the hibs one.
Was gutted when a couple of spectators shouted "go on the hibees" when we passed them!

Fair play to the guy. Can totally understand the sentiment behind it.
He's a braver man than me to pull on a maroon top!!

They're not all bad sorts. I have a Jambo pal who plays 5's with the same group every week. One of the group, a Hibee died unexpectedly a few years ago. When the group restarted their regular games after the HIbbies funeral they all decided to wear Hibs strips in honour of their mate. At this point I enter the story as my mate came to me for a loan of a Hibs top. Typical Jambo, I never got it back... He still wears it every time they play!!
