Not embarrassing, Afghanistan are ranked above scotland and have an excellent bowling attack. Probably two evenly matched teams which was reflected in the result. Scotland will be bitterly disappointed just as the afghans would have been had scotland won. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
One more chance for Scotland to get a world cup win against Bangladesh on Wednesday (we've beaten them in a t20i before), I can't see much hope against Sri lanka or australia though!

Decent start for Engerland here at 38-0 after 4 overs. One of them is going to be caught soon though as they're not going to get away with hitting it they way they are for long.
You would think.........

England on the verge of going out, 95 needed off the last 10 overs with only 4 wickets in hand. Not a chance

No sympathy whatsoever for England to be honest. Like their football team, the media think they have a right to win games against anyone they play.
After the defeat to NZ, they were talking about the latter stages of the tournament and saying that they'd need to get the finger out for when they get to the knock-out stages. I think it was Botham who said; "hang on a minute, we need to get there first".
It'll be interesting to see the review show tonight. I see Boycott has already slaughtered them and suspect Botham and Gower will do likewise. Jonathan Agnew defending them on twitter, but seen very little else so far.
A complete overhaul of the English game is needed. They're too predictable and easy to play against. They don't mix it up, they play ODI's like test matches. Bell is the prime example of that. Cracking cricketer, but too boring, slow and scared to give his wicket away.Someone once told me that hard work wouldn't kill me.
I thought: "Hell, why take the chance"!

I used to love cricket back in the 60s/70s. One of the features of the game since then has been the rise in importance of the one day game. It used to be a bit of a novelty for folk who didn't have the time for the real thing. Now I hear Boycott calling for heads to roll! Changed days indeed.

What a start to the final, Starc bowls out the NZ captain in the first over.

Australia set 184 to win . NZ get Finch out early. Won't say game on yet though. Australia's to lose and that's very unlikely.
