just noticed a reuters report about deaths outside a football stadium in Cairo, EGYPT before a local derby. saying that at least 22 have died, trying to storm the gates of the stadium.

Was there not a huge riot there a few years back? Sure at least half a dozen died?

It was 70 or more. There's a lot of politics involved in this, with the fans saying the police shot at them and the police denying it, I believe the fans. I don't hold much hope for the fans being listened to though, hell even in this country a fitba fan in court is presumed guilty before the proceeding even start.
