He's getting better and better IMHO.
    How long is his contract?

Said this yesterday, he's been a great signing and the best centre half we have had for years. Out if contract at the end of the season so defo need to get him tied down longer

Not sure how long his contact was for, but I agree that he's been getting better and better. I thought he was excellent yesterday again.

I was at Alloa when he made his league debut (I think). He looked awful. Was slow, nervy and wandered all over the shop.

He's improved beyond recognition since then and looks a very good defender. I'd love to see him get a new deal.

Another player whose contract is up at the end of the season? The summer is going to be interesting I think!

Totally agree! He and Hanlon have built a good understanding between them. Let's hope no injuries til end of season, although we do have Forster as cover if needed.

He should be given a new 2 year contract and handed the captains armband

Its a question not a statement of fact.

As we know having a top class centre half as manager always improves the defence

Solid. 2 year deal unless Stubbs has better lined up.

I don't think Liam Fontane has broken sweat in a game since new year and said as much yesterday and all around me agreed.

He was our best player yesterday and looked pretty much a different player from the guy I saw making his debut. He has to be a priority to get signed up for a new contract.

I had heard he is most likely away in summer as his family is still down south.

I think the end of season contract suited both parties at the time - we can see what he's actually like as a player and he has a chance to kick start his career, a sort of win win. If we get promoted I can see him staying, if we don't he'll be off.

He didn't want to move his family because he only had a one year deal here. I'd think that they would come to Edinburgh if he signs a contract for two or three years.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

Spoke to him at one of the east mains trips and he said he was hoping for a longer deal and would move his family if that happened however appreciate players sometimes give fans a line. Has been a great signing and think he would be a natural captain.

Him and Hanlon have formed a very good rock-solid CB partnership. I hope we keep him beyond the end of the season.

Stonewall man of the match yesterday. Great performance. To be honest if Liam Craig is not playing then Fontaine is captain material for me.
