I wouldn't be expecting us to make many, if any, permanent signings in January. Very few teams are able to sign players to immediately improve their team in January, and many of them have budgets far bigger than ours.

I'd expect to see a couple of loans signings in January. I'd then hope our new scouting team are ahead of the game and line up a few players for the summer, instead of us rushing about the last few days of the transfer window like we did last summer.
