    Boxing Day football

Always a day to look forward to with quality NH Nags thrown in.

Settled into Platform 5, things may be messy by the time Gary Anderson starts tonight @ The Ally Pally.

    Game on! :-)

One of the best sporting days of the year. Can't wait.

Pub with a couple of mates with the footy on one TV and the horses on the other. Great day out in store.

:-( Apart from "day" and "game" I don't know what any of the nouns and pronouns are in this post. Am I just getting old?

I see Daryl Murphy opened the scoring for Ipswich at Brentford.

Can't believe he's the same guy who was with us a few years back.

I think you are thinking of David Murphy. Daryl Murphy was at Celtic.

Or maybes he's thinking of Daryl Duffy. Either way Murphy never played for Hibs.

Chelsea have been excellent first half. Some of the one touch stuff round the West Ham box is class.

Ivanovic should have been booked for diving though.

First time I've seen Chelsea this season and I'm impressed.

Previously under Mourinho you couldn't fault their record but they could be really dull at times. If this is how they play every week now then they look a really entertaining team.

The whole pub was on Mr Conti, what a performance! Sam TD deserves a shout for taking the finish out the rest of the field from the start.

Probably just as well. I'll be drowning in Silviniaco Conti sponsored Strongbow by then!

I see James Collins has scored again and that McGivern is nowhere to be seen in the Port Vale team - perhaps he's injured again?
    This is how it feels

I think he has a fractured arm. I'm sure I read that on the BBC.

It was Noel Fehily on board but you're right. Superb ride.

Great ride and I'm a tad over £220 up today, festive season is superb so far!

Back to football and Man Utd are looking strong here, I know it's only Newcastle they're up against here but they've been playing well recently, that midfield look utterly dominant. They'll get top 4 with ease IMO.

2 x 5 team accas on today. Not checked them so far as they usually bomb before HT.

    Fingers crossed!!

Matt Done has just scored his 14th goal of the season.

Morais, Collins and Doyle have all scored today as well.

Faugheen was the most impressive performance on the day by a mile. Silviniaco Conte is a good horse round certain courses, but at others he seems to struggle. He's great at Kempton, but he was well beaten at Weatherby after using the same tactics. The fact that he's so high up in the Gold Cup betting says to me that there aren't really all that many good 3 mile chasers at the moment. He's now run in 2 Gold Cups, fallen in 1 and thrown away the other. Would you trust him? It was Noel Fehily who was riding him by the way. Sorry mate, glad you got money back on him all the same.

Nice one G. I got over 2 ton back for Silviniaco Conti, 10er ew Rooney and 20 treble Chelsea -1, Swindon and Burton A. Oscar and Giroud never got me a return. I've never been in a pub when so many folk have got decent bets up. What a day/night!

5 of us out yesterday, 3 guys had a joint coupon, 9 teams and got 2.5k! The other 2 of us were too late to join the team coupon. However I put on 3 different teams and they all won and the 5th guy had another 3 teams that all won.

If we'd all been in on the team coupon we would have won £380k!!! LOL!

As it turns out, I won £25!
