I still can't see how having it on Monday at 2PM is better than straight after the game at Tynecastle today.
A team standing outside the room where the draw is being made in muddy strips cheering when they get drawn is one of the classic sights of the cup imo.
A draw at 2 on a Monday afternoon when a vast majority of football supporters are at work and have to check who they get with a sneaky extra window open on their computer or with furitive glances at a smart phone is just crap.

The Monday lunchtime draw is an fa cup tradition that we seem to be copying.

Can't ask for any more than a home tie in the next round, preferably avoiding Celtic and/or Dundee United.

I fail to see any reason why they can't do it that way and it's much more of a spectacle, with loads of people already watching on TV.
Monday afternoon seems to be the the most boring time they could choose.

Doesn't really make sense to me. You have a far smaller audience tomorrow, any English folk watching are likely to use the SC draw as a chance to make a cup of tea. If the draw was made today it would still be all over the papers tomorrow and Tuesday, still be all over sites like here for a good few days. Delaying it by 24 hours achieves nothing imo.
Seems to me a Monday afternoon allows the blazers an excuse for another day with a few drinks and nibbles after todays hospitality at Ibrox or Tynecastle.

Bet you it will be an Old Firm draw with The Rangers needing cash.

In the outside chance we did draw Spartans away, would their ground be capable of holding the match?

The old City Park had a capacity of 3000ish and handled sell outs v a then Premier League Livingston and St Mirren.
Ainslie Park is a far better facility than that and, with sensible policing, should be capable of hosting a big game.PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years

I believe they had about 1300 there yesterday with no issues.
It will all depend if they wanted to give up home advantage for a bigger payday.PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years
