Ian Murray, he gave me those boots in white. Was sponsored by puma at the time.

I don't think it is murray, looks like it's a right footed player and thinking back to the 6-2 squad who played with puma boots - my money is on Gary Smith.

Here's yer kit. 2009/10 away kit
And here's a photo of Ian Murray wearing the same boots from the same year. but in the home kit.
Now dinnae say im no good to you lot.
EDIT: And it's not as early as the 6-2 kit, you can tell because of the Dundee Utd branded ball that we only started using recentlyLast edited by SaulGoodman; 24-11-2014 at 10:12 PM.

The combination of the ball design and strip leads me to believe this is season 2009/2010.
Given the position of the linesman I think that this is a left sided player in the opponent half. Also, we can't see anyone behind the player so I think that Ian Murray is a reasonable guess.

The pins aren't those of a youngster so I was going to suggest Dirk Lehman, but I've had a look at the old Hibs' calendars from the le Coq Sportif days (I knew they'd come in handy some day) and he's got hoora hairy legs and this person doesn't. So Steve Fenwick, Gary Smith ..... I dunno.
However, the other things that you notice are that at no point from 2001 on do the Hibs shorts have piped edging and most of the socks have HFC or suchlike on them, but perhaps tellingly the green in the photo doesn't appear to be emerald green.
