    Poland vs Scotland

Would be happy with a draw tonight.

Think this will be the team for tonight:

    Marshall.

    Hutton. Martin. Greer. Robertson.

    McArthur. Brown©.

    Morrison. Bannan. Anya.

    Naismith.

It's not the end of the world, nor anything to be ashamed of, if we get beat tonight. I still think we're qualifying from this group! Poland are on a good run of results right now and will rightly be going into it with massive confidence having beaten the World Champions.

We have players capable of hurting them though.

Fletcher surely has to start though he was good on Saturday, certainly wouldnt be dropping him for Bannen.

Wouldn't surprise me to be honest mate if Fletcher doesn't play.

Poland will have to take the game to Scotland this evening, unlike against Germany where they mainly defended - they'll be on a high after their win, but maybe a bit complacent too? Scotland will need to deal with Lewandowski and hope for counter-break opportunities ... a draw would be a decent away result for Scotland ...

They've been saying that they will take nothing for granted but they might do subconsciously (probably what hibs have been doing this season). It's kind of hard not to after defeating the world champions but you're right...The tables have been turned and we will be the ones sitting back and playing the counter attacking game.

I've not looked at the schedule but I take it we aren't on the council TV. Again.

I would probably start S.Fletcher upfront too but cannot see Strachan dropping him before Naisy and think only one will start - Naismith upfront himself. Not convinced Bannan will start though - think either Darren Fletcher (fit?) or McCarthur will come in, in a more defensive lineup to Saturday.

Having said that.. we were very attack-minded on Saturday with Maloney starting too.. would like to think their won't be too many unforced changes!

Regarding tonight.. I would have taken a draw before their game on Saturday night... feel like we HAVE to really push for a win now and hope for 6 points from our next 2 games now (anything less than 4 points and we're already struggling in the hunt for 2nd place)

Please, no! He was the difference between the first and second half performances against the Germans. Whenever he got the ball, play slowed down, whereas after he went off, we attacked Germany with real pace.

Steven Fletcher also played a big part in opening up the Germans, giving himself and others space to attack. Maybe a super-sub role would suit him in this game as well.

Scotland are dogdy at the back and will have their handsful with RL.
They are definitely good enough up top to punish poland however. Hopeful of a win. Not sure what to expect. It would be a brilliant three points. Need to massively improve from Saturday though

Lewandowski isn't an out and out "striker", although he's probably the best "hold up man" in the world ATM who brings other players into attacking positions with relative ease. I wouldn't actually be surprised to see him up top on his own tonight with 3 attacking forwards/wingers in behind him.

    Lewandowski up against Greer ........

Is Robertson injured, suspended or dropped?

Take it Greer is the boy that was fairly average for killie about 10 years ago?

That said strachan has done a terrific job so far, he'll know his best 11 much better than I do

Pretty sure it's the same one. Got tore a new one by Benji in the cup final.

Listening to Sportsound, they are saying that Robertson likes to get forward a lot, Whittaker might stay more defensive

Whittaker's only positive at full back, IMHO, is his ability to get forward. Never rated him defensively.

People need to remember that Whittaker is far more experienced than Robertson, he has played in similar environments many times. Robertson was excellent on Saturday in a home match against Georgia, a more experienced defender could be what fits the bill this evening however.

I trust Strachans reasons for doing this are all about giving is the best chance to win the match.

He's playing for Brighton now in the Championship so he must be doing something right.

Or English football is over rated.

    Fancy us big time tonight.
We'll score a couple on the break. Never fear WGS is here.

Always thought Whittaker let the ball go over his head to much when playing for us.

Nice to see that Fletcher and Whittaker's hair has reseeded since they left Hibs
