Master of None is brilliant. Another comedy option on Netflix (more of a comedy drama) is You Me Her. It maybe isn’t an option if you’ve got kids around as there’s a fair amount of sex scenes in it.

Yes! I've just caught up with the latest episode, really enjoying season 3 after a disappointing season 2.

Attenborough doing his normal depressing final episode, where the true *******ness of the human race is exposed. Plastics in the oceans.

The scale of how much we've ruined the oceans is absolutely mind-boggling.

I'm late to this party but I've just started watching Peaky Blinders.

    Really enjoying it so far.

I had the box set on VHS back in the day, which shows how old the series is! Just fantastic, episode 1 with the ducks just grabs you and doesn't let go. Gandolfini is a very fine actor.

Sadly missed, I recall the first episode wondering where it was going. The car "chase" and beatdown made that clear. Can't wait to begin again.

The first episode is very gory. I've seen comments that it shocked even hardcore horror fans but I wouldn't go that far. It certainly isn't up there with the 'Hostel' films, for example, in terms of gore or scariness. There's parts of the other episodes that we've watched so far that I've found a bit difficult to watch from a completely different perspective in terms of some of the themes.

As I said in my earlier post, there is definitely a feel of 'The Missing' to it in the sense that it is really quite dark, almost sinister.
I binge watched this on Tuesday night, yesterday morning. I really enjoyed it. I can see why people might be shocked, as it turns very suddenly, but I was waiting for it so I was ok. Found the last two episodes harder to watch.

    I've been watching it.

Wasn't sure about the first series. Sometimes subtitled programmes are a bit more difficult to get into. But the second series has just started and I'm warming to the characters.

I do like the political backdrop. I don't always get the cultural references though.... they'll be more familiar to you.

It's reputedly one of the most expensive TV dramas ever made.

And Brian Ferry has his mitts all over it
I've just finished the 2nd season now and can't wait for the 3rd. Like you mention the political backdrop is fascinating, I just wish it was set 10 years previously. Think they missed a trick there and the chance to show how national socialism grew out of the ashes of the 1st world war. I watch too much tv and normally see the twists in storylines long before they happen but they've managed to surprise me a few times. I also recognise a lot of the filming locations and think the computer animation to recreate them to how they looked before Berlin got flattened are excellent.

I've just started another German series on Netflix called "Dark". It's got a similar feel to "Stranger Things" about it and I'm really enjoying it.

I'm watching dark, really enjoying it but my head is hurting trying to understand it at times, not sure if it's the watching it with subtitles, the storyline or a combination of both, will be easier for you with understanding the German and not having to read

Not a TV series as such but just watched that Oasis documentary 'Supersonic' on iplayer and thought it was really good and really well made.

Good insight into a mad few years from the beginning of the band right into their pomp at Knebworth. As Noel Gallagher said in the doc, they should have vanished into a puff of air after knebworth and their legacy would have been tenfold.

I watched it last night, it's brilliant - really well done.

I got Mrs Matty the Game of Thrones box set for Christmas, so we're about to get started on that. Have only heard good things about it, so can't wait to see what the fuss is all about.

You're in for a treat mate, enjoy.

I used it always say how it didn't look like the kind of thing I'd like but soon enough I was hooked. Probably the best TV box set I've watched.

It's not just you mate, my head is buzzing trying to follow the fast pace of the storyline. I really like the split screen shots that show the different characters then and now. I think there will definitely be a Yank remake of this show.

I'm really enjoying mindhunter on Netflix. Fictional series based on the FBI agents that got the ball rolling on profiling using information obtained from interviewing serial killers.
Started this a few nights ago and it's fantastic. While I'm reluctant to say that the big psychotic sex offender with the moustache is a "good" character as such, he's certainly unique...
