Give Orphan Black a try if you haven't already watched it, it was discussed earlier in the thread. Helix is a bit weird too and only lasts a couple of series IIRC.

I’ve seen both of them. I really enjoyed both.

Just watched the programme on Bill Shankly on BBCi player. Probably one of the most moving documentaries I've ever viewed.
The man was a god. His humanity and social concience was unbelievable. If you haven't seen it I strongly recommend you do. Trust me, it'll be well worth it.

We started watching ‘The Sinner’ on Netflix last night and we are gripped. Near enough the first thing we both said when I came in tonight was that we can’t wait to watch a few more episodes tonight.

It has Jessica Biel in it and it has a feel to it that is not too dissimilar to ‘The Missing’.

I read somewhere that the first episode is hard to watch but if you can get past that, it’s really good. What does it mean by hard to watch? I got the impression it was gory or scary.

The first episode is very gory. I've seen comments that it shocked even hardcore horror fans but I wouldn't go that far. It certainly isn't up there with the 'Hostel' films, for example, in terms of gore or scariness. There's parts of the other episodes that we've watched so far that I've found a bit difficult to watch from a completely different perspective in terms of some of the themes.

As I said in my earlier post, there is definitely a feel of 'The Missing' to it in the sense that it is really quite dark, almost sinister.

Anyone watched Babylon Berlin? I'm hearing good things about this period drama set in the Golden 20's and leading up the the rise of the Nazis.

    I've been watching it.

Wasn't sure about the first series. Sometimes subtitled programmes are a bit more difficult to get into. But the second series has just started and I'm warming to the characters.

I do like the political backdrop. I don't always get the cultural references though.... they'll be more familiar to you.

It's reputedly one of the most expensive TV dramas ever made.

That confirms what I'm hearing about it. My best mate who's a history teacher and rarely watches TV has only ever heaped praise like this on "Deadwood" before. I think it was the most expensive production of a series outside the US. No need for subtitles for me so I'll probably give it a whack.

Can anyone suggest any decent comedy series on Netflix. Been watching Peaky Blinders and need something to watch afterwards that will lift the darkness before heading for bed.

The Good Place is pretty decent.

Nice easy watch and a unique concept too.

From start to finish mate. Loved it. Maybe I should have listed what I've already watched but that would be one hell of a list.

Just had a look and it's not on German Netflix bud. Thanks anyway.

Silicon Valley don’t think it may on Netflix though.

You seen Master of None? Not everyone's cup of tea but quite light hearted and I thought it was quite funny.

Looks like a contender but like you thought, it's not on Netflix.

You’re better using one of streaming sites that gives you everything on one site. I use bunny series and it’s perfect.

Its decent,an easy watch for 45/60 minutes wont blow you away wont insult your intelligence either. 1st couple of episodes are a bit slow.

The humour on Rules of Engagement is quite juvenile but, I find it quite amusing in a lighthearted fashion.
