Looking for something new and started watching 'Crossing Lines' last night on US Netflix. Donald Sutherland, Tom Wlas****a (sp) and a fair few other faces I recognise.

Imagine a Criminal Minds type show based on cross border policing in Europe. Pretty decent watch

I watched the first episode of 11.22.63, once you get past the odd concept, it's really good.

A guy (James Franco) goes back in time to try and stop the assassination of JFK. There's only been one episode so far. I'm looking forward to the next one, might be tonight I think.

'Vinyl' on Sky Atlantic looks like it could be pretty good, one episode so far and I enjoyed it. Episode number 2 on tonight.

    It's directed by Martin Scorsese.

I'm sure I read a book years ago based on that concept - not sure if it's the basis for the TV series though as the name doesn't ring a bell.

It stuck in my mind as it also explored the concept of what may have happened in the world had JFK completed two terms...a concept also explored in an episode of Red Dwarf!

I tend not to get involved with subtitled programmes but, I thoroughly enjoyed ep1 of Deutschland 83. Loads of potential.
If anyone else watched this I'd be interested to hear what you thought of it. I thought it was magnificent viewing.

I really enjoyed it, and then I read that it tanked in Germany. Too many stereotypes, apparently :)

Are you in the UK? If so, can you let me know where you got your codes from as mine aren't working and struggling to find some new ones.

I loved it up to the last episode which seemed a bit rushed.

Trapped on BBC4 has been excellent so far, 4 episodes in. Double bills on a saturday night. Another subtitle job, set in Iceland but starring Theis Birk Larsen from the Killing, as the captain of the ferry.

Just finished watching it, I see there are plans for a 2nd series based in '86 with the possibility of a 3rd in '89.

Watching The Shannara Chronicles on 5*. I read These books by Terry Brooks when I was younger and they were fantastic... I'm soooooooo hoping they don't **** this up!! I'm 25 mins into the first episode and I'm really not that hopeful. Please let it get better.

I assume thats only because it hasn't been on for a while, I thought it was extremely contrived.

Stag. Only 3 episodes but the first one was good.
There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

Started watching some of the old 'curb your enthusiasm' episodes. Very funny improvised comedy series from the guy who made Seinfeld. Well worth a watch.

I've watched it a all the way through 3 times. Only ever did that with Curb and Sopranos, I think.

Full 4th season of House of Cards now available on Netflix.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, vodka in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Yeah, not overly impressed - it's basically Sherlock Holmes and has become very formulaic very quickly.

Now, is anyone watching Mid Morning Matters with Alan Partridge - absolutely brilliant stuff.

The more I watch Gotham the more it grows on me (I know its silly), the boy that plays Penguin is excellent, interesting to see Michelle Gomez make an appearance on Monday too.
