Tonight once my wife and daughters went up to their beds, I took your advice and started watching it.

Right from the start there's really loud ****ging scenes every 5 minutes and now my family think I'm a raging pervert.

    Cheers mate!
Ffs, don't watch Altered Carbon whatever you do, especially not in your underpants.

I'm about to start Blinded: Those Who Kill on i-player. Can't beat the Scandi-noir.

Same here - I think I said it earlier on this thread. She’s always on the verge of tears - same when she was in Spooks.

It’s straight from the Anna Friel book on acting.
It's the deliberately stunted delivery of a line that gets me, like most of the thoughts she has are still developing whilst leaving her mouth. She usually starts the line with her eyes looking off to her left before returning to the person she's talking to for the finale!

She was in Last Tango in Paradise, that's not a crime drama, but worth watching. I think there's several series on i-player.

Enjoy the rest of the series.

    Edit *Last Tango in Halifax
How anyone can confuse paradise with Halifax is beyond comprehension 🤔😂

Yip, the inevitable pause before she speaks, you know it's coming...I've watched her in interviews, exact same facial expressions, slightly less dramatic emphasis of pausing. Sanjeev Baskar is a far better actor, it's really obvious when you watch them in the same scene.

That sounds quite decent, went and checked up on it and others were also saying it had a bit of a breaking bad feel to it, struggling for stuff to watch so thanks for the heads up.
Would be interested in your take on it. I've just finished season 1 and am still enjoying it, despite the mega loud ****ging scenes.

For what it's worth, I'm loving it.

They've calmed down on the ****ging for the time being too.

I started Start Up the other night after reading about it on here.

Enjoying it so far. I don't think it's quite in the league of Breaking Bad or Ozark but it's entertaining.

It's not in the same league but the plots and storyline are comparable. Without giving too much away, I thought the scene in the car with Martin Freeman where he makes a decision on what he needs to do without actually saying a word was a great piece of acting.

Halfway through the 2nd series of Animal Kingdom, some of the acting is a bit ropey but, the storylines are decent enough.

Has anyone watched the last series of Colony? I remember watching it a few years ago but it was cancelled, it seems to reappeared again on Netflix.

Mare of Easttown really deserves a second series. Tonight’s episode was top notch, best US cop show I’ve seen since True Detective.

Is that the last episode in series 1? I’ve been holding off watching so I can binge it.

I've watched the first series of Startup. Enjoyed it. I think there's similarities with BB as the main characters seemed to lurch from one disaster to another.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, vodka in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!"

I’m going to watch season 3 after I’ve finished line of duty, annoyingly I know the ending for that due to this thread.

Interesting. I just watched the latest episode and, as you said, it was really good. Struggling to see how they get two more of equal quality.

Just started season 3 of Colony.

It’s went a wee bit Walking Dead but so far it’s been pretty good.
