Really? I've got it taped and have watched about 5 episodes ages ago and stopped watching coz I really struggled with it. Worth persevering?

I watched the first few series when bbc3 or 4 showed them a couple of years ago. Never got to the end though. Really funny.
The last season is like an extended last episode, I guess they wanted a full story for the characters.

It is a bit slow to begin with and also a bit hard to follow but it really picks up making it all worth it.

anyone on here watch Parks and Rec?

Its on amazon if anyone wants to have a look, its s a kind of subtle light hearted comedy. I'm on my second watch through and finding it even better the second time.
Parks is a superb comedy series. The characters really grow. Very funny. Watched it all.

Yep - I'd definitely say the last 5 episodes are better than the first 5 episodes, as everything unfolds and becomes a lot clearer.

Came across a new light hearted foodie series on Dave, called 'Eat Your Heart Out' with Nick Helm. Basically he's been asked to do a series about food and what it means to him and is dumped by his girlfriend as the series begins. Trying to come to terms with this he sets off on a food Odyssey, visiting various eateries in Britain and Europe. I first saw this guy on Eight Out Of Ten Cats Does Countdown and found him a hoot.

I quite like him, he was really funny in a sitcom called Uncle.

Amazon. It's expensive and I'm not sure I need it.

Agreed, it feels like they're dragging the bottom of the barrel to bring new baddies to justice. Kind of repetitive.

Finished Twin Peaks last night. I still can't make up my mind if it was genius throughout, or decent with some genius moments and some moments of utter dross.

    I really enjoyed it, though.

Just watching the last season and the storyline is very thin and multiple role thing has lost its edge.

Astounding television. Haven't made my mind up whether it's been astoundingly brilliant or astoundingly pretentious yet But that's Lynch...he just puts it out there and lets us form our own theories about what we're watching.

I'm scoobied by that last episode, mind.....

I think it gets stronger towards the the last few episodes. The fact that they've managed to keep the multiple role thing going so long is quite impressive.

Loved the return, last episode was a bit of a slog and felt a bit unsatisfying, but it's a real thinker and I think they have left it open for another season/film.

Just finished twin peaks as well and share some of the uncertainty above of what people though of it. Some of it was absolutely brilliant though, realy enjoyed the humour in it.

Does anybody have any recommendations for series that range from 1-3 series max? I struggle picking anything to watch that isnt a 30 min episode comedy these days. Not that my free times particuarly scarce, but the thought of commiting to 7 or 8 series of 50 min episodes puts me of most things these days.

I'm sure Hannibal stopped after 3 series and was very good.

Bansee (recently mentioned) was four seasons but from memory only 10-13 episodes in each.

You could be right one report I read said 78 and one said 80 😞 so possibly they are guessing.

Yep, it's strange.. a number of reports say 78 and others say 80. Same when you try and search his date of birth!

Agree though - even allowing for the 27 years since Goodfellas (and the fact he looked older than De Niro, Liotta and Pesci in that).. I wouldn't have guessed he was in his 50s then!

    RIP

Now go home and get ya f****ng shine box.
