The big question remains: will we ever sign another permanent player?

Over one hour in and Steve has had a gif removed and Hibs haven't signed anyone. I am currently on another pint of cider after demolishing a curry and some pretzel snacks.

It is going to be a great day.

    Top priority:
    Leigh Griffiths
Another proven, goalscoring striker - 18 year olds on loan or journeymen with a strike rate of 1 in 10 don't count
An attacking creative midfielder, who can create chances and score the odd few

    Lesser priority:
    Cover for full back
A winger to deputise for injury or when Harris/Stanton/Kennedy have off days

    Not wanted:
On loan youngsters with little to no first team experience - I'd rather develop the 10 or so we actually own ourselves rather than pay another club to (barely) develop theirs.
Journeymen who amble from one club to another - see Trakys, Sodje, Agogo, O'Donovan, Kuqi, Done, Vine, Haynes. Remember the season defining contributions they made? Me neither.

Here's hoping we definitely sign from pool A, maybe get in someone from pool B and steer clear of pool C.

Disagree with a few things on here, think we should prioritise a defensive midfielder over an attacking midfielder as we don't really have any body who can play there, except perhaps Stevenson and also I'm pretty sure Sodjes goals were what kept us up the season he was here.

True, however our current manager and previous two seem to think playing Craig there is the answer. I'm convinced that's at least partly the reason he's performed so poorly for us.

Sodje scored more goals for us after we were clear of relegation.

Right now Petrie & Co. Are going through the skips outside the football supermarkets comparing the rubbish that is past it's sell by date. That's what they do every transfer window so why should today be any different?

    Reporting for duty.

The morning heads up is that this TDD I am liaising with both Cub and Guide leaders but have no early doors insight from them as yet. I'll see what the boy running the kids judo class has to say this afternoon too.

On a positive early note however I can report that this time the khasi is fully functioning. We did have the fire brigade out for a defective chimney on Friday but that shouldn't interfere with play today.

You don't like to be going into TDD with a key player like nonshinyfinish missing - its like Natalie waking up this morning and not being able to find her yellow dress. Just have to hope he has jumped in the car and is following Odemwingie around from club to club to see who he's offering himself to today.

In your opinion then should we send Matthew Kennedy back, he fits in your pool C?

I'm hoping for Hibs to announce the young boys Sinclair and McGeough quite early on in the day and then go out and bring in 1 or 2 with genuine quality and experience, Centre midfielder and striker preferred.

Not good. They will be less likely to offload Sparky and their prioritised efforts today will be finding a striker not haggling with Hibs. :(

As the excitement mounts will hibs pull a Rabbitt from the Hat I am no magician but think there is more chance of me pulling a Hair out my Arse .this has now become a critical Transfer Window for Us .Cummings saying Alloa brought thier A game and Foster saying Pitch wasn't good enough standard .Both may be fair comment but we really need some players with fight and dig .Intersting one of the papers saying we have too many sleight players quick of feet but not prepared to get into the 50/50 tackles .yes we need a Striker but if Stubbs can't get these players to be up for a fight he needs to bring in a few that are as that's what will happen week in week out and that shouldn't of been a surprise .
