Who's tonight's captain going to be? Stubbs says the main thing he looks for in a captain is leadership, for them to take responsibility, and for them to stand up and be counted when things are not going our way. So who closely fits that description? I doubt it'll be any of the young boys, and if it was Nelson I'd imagine Stubbs would've said since he's already captained us numerous times last season and during this pre season.
Most of us are crying out for a 'captain type' to be signed, so it'll be interesting tonight to see if he's already here or not.
I can see it being a toss up between:
Robertson
El-Alagui
Gray
Allan
Tudur Jones (if he plays which I can't see happening)
We're in dire need of a leader on the field, preferably in the middle of the park who can drive us on and dominate the middle the centre. Craig still doesn't seem capable of doing this (he should be further up he park behind the strikers but that's another topic) and we need to have that influence from a commanding figure to have the upper hand in games.

Farid - has the support behind him and is becoming a cult figure already this early into his Hibs career.

Scott Allen for me.
The captain should be a key figure in the team abd from what I saw on Saturday Allan will certainly be that.
There's also the chance being captain might give him a confidence boost, although not sure he needs that as he's clearly a confident guy already

Craig imo has none of the qualitys Stubbs is looking for in a captain . Fontaine might just be the leader we are crying out for .

Farid.
Every gimmick hungry yob,
Digging gold from rock and roll
Grabs the mic to tell us,
He'll die before he's sold.

I read somewhere (think it was on a Bristol City forum) that mentioned they should give their 'club captain' (in reference to Liam Fontaine obviously) a second chance etc. Maybe giving him the armband on the day he signs is a bit earlier.
That said, I did stumble upon this also: http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/EXCLUSI...ail/story.html
So mibbies naw. From the starting line up on Saturday, Farid would be a shout. I wouldn't want Forster distracted from his game although I reckon he'll go on to captain us soon. If he starts, I'll say it's Robertsons armband for the night

Gray or Forster.
PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years

Gray, or Fontaine if hes available.
I think Forster is still at the point where he should be focusing on his game rather than worrying about being captain.

Forster would be my choice regardless of who else is available if and when his form is that of a nailed on starter - playing well but just needs that wee bit extra to be a player you don't even think of dropping.
