Oxley 6 not sure about some of his punches but distribution good.

Booth 7 Very good first half
    Forster 5
    Nelson 6
    Gray 5 Disappointing distribution today

    Kennedy 7 MOTM
Allan 7 A big improvement on recent Stanton performances. Should start asap.
Craig 3 Like the bad old days.
Harris 4 a couple of decent through balls but pulling out of the mcdonald challenge and the foul throw summed up his day.

    Heffernan 4 Poor
El Alagui 6 some good work but missed his chances

Oxley 6 - Still worried about his handling but distribution is decent

    Gray 6
    Nelson 6
    Forster 5
Booth 7 going forward, 5 in defence

Kennedy 7 - Good game, some nice crosses and good interplay with Booth first half
Allan 6.5 - Early doors but looks like we could possibly build a team around him
    Craig 2 - <censored>
Harris 5 - Badly needs to stay in the challenges or the game will pass him by

Heffernan 4 - Decent chances and should have scored
El Alagui 5 as a forward 6 for work ethic

Never know how to rate substitutes but I thought Stanton looked much better in the centre

Next game Craig out and good old fashioned 4-4-2 :

    Oxley

    Gray - Hanlon - Nelson - Booth

    Harris - Stanton - Allan - Kennedy

    El Alagui - Cummings

Gray 5 - thought he was poor today
Nelson 6 - better than usual
Forster 5 - makes some strange desicions
Booth 7 - thought he was good. shouls start every week
Kennedy 7 - pretty good and great to watch..final ball needs worked on tho
Allan 6 - looked good in patches. Get a holding midfielder in with him and I reckon he will be quality.
Craig 2 - awful and should never be captain
Harris - 3 awful and needs a spell in reserves
Heff 3 - poor and not fit, missed sitter
Farid 5 - not as good and missed some great chances

    Left by mutual consent!
    Oxley - 6

    Gray 7
Forster 4 - Distribution was awful.
    Nelson 7
Booth 6. Linked up well with Kennedy.

    Allan 7. Impressed.
Craig 5. Wasn't great but not as bad as people are making out. Needs to spend less time moaning at referees.
Harris 6. Distribution was good but still struggles to beat his man.
    Kennedy 8. A winger! MOTM.

Heffernan 6. No service, worked hard.
El Alagui. 4. Not a lot of service but should have done better with the ball when he had it.

Oxley 5 - made one decent saves. Drives me mad that he comes out with no intention of catching the ball, he obviously prefers to punch it

Gray 5 - wasn't his best game today
    Nelson 5 - did ok
    Forster 6 -played well
Booth 7 - excellent first half, had a great thing going with Kennedy. Quiet 2nd half

Harris 6 - showed some excellent bits of skill of times, needs time to get his confidence back up
Allan 6 - played well, faded in 2nd half
Craig 4 - he's just awful, he was back to his standing still self today, don't think he passed forward once, wasted our set pieces too
Kennedy 7 - impressed with him, needs to be able to make simple passes though

Heffernan 5 - unlucky not to score with his header but pretty quiet apart from that
El Alagui 5 - should have scored at least 2 of his chances today, barely noticed him in 2nd half.

Flashes of ability from Allan and Kennedy. Allan needs to be further up the pitch.

El Al has to score at least one of his chances. Heff looks finished to me.

Booth good going forward, suspect defensively.

Craig is absolutely terrible. We need something in the middle of the park desperately. And up front. And at the back.

Gray spent most of the first half in acres of space on the right hand side in their half looking for the ball which never came his way because we refused to switch it and persisted with attacks down the left side. Unfair to say he was poor IMO.

    .
Id agree with this. Looked to create whenever he had the ball but especially in the first half seemed to be just in front of the back four. Id like to see him nearer El Alagui.

Wow anybody who thinks harris was better than Craig today must really hate Liam Craig.

The only conclusion I can come to after that remark is that you are Liam Craig!

Oxley 6 - needs to shoot more

    Gray 5 - poor 2nd half
Forster 5 - passing not great
    Nelson 6 - decent mostly
Booth 7 - fantastic 1st half, tired as expected

Harris 4 - very disappointing, thought he would kick on after a good 1st half last weekend
Craig 4 - can't run or turn properly, slows play down
Allan 6 - will improve, passing good
Kennedy 7 - exciting prospect, everything except a final ball

El Alagui 3 - dismal today, offered zilch
Heffernan 4 - should be doing better

  18. #17
Personally thought Booth was very poor defensively and Stevenson won't be kept out of the team.

Booth 8 going forward, 6 in defence

Kennedy 8.5 - Good game, some nice crosses and good interplay with Booth first half
Allan 8 - Early doors but looks like we could possibly build a team around him
Craig 6 - He does cover a lot of the park and wins the ball at times it's what he does with it that lets him down just now
Harris 5 - Badly needs to stay in the challenges or the game will pass him by

Heffernan 4 - Decent chances and should have scored
El Alagui 5 as a forward 6 for work ethic

Think Stubbs will keep the same team against Dumbarton they played some half decent football and Booth and Kennedy played well together going forward

    Oxley

    Gray - Hanlon - Nelson - Booth

Handling- Craig - Allan - Kennedy

    El Alagui - Heffernan

Used this Leith Dutch hope ye don't mind

Oxley 6.........couple of dodgy punches that could have turned out worse

    Gray 6.......poor distribution
    Forster 6
    Nelson 6
Booth 6.....some nice link up with Kennedy but hid defending at times is pretty woeful, still too weak to be a full back

Harris 4......stay out on the wing son, your a winger that's where you belong, not running up the middle behind the strikers
Allan 7......strong on the ball, always got his head up looking for a player, unfortunately those in front were pish.
Craig 4.....either play him further forward or get him tae ****, can't tacke, can't pass and slows the play down, oh for a player of Thomson's passing in that team.
Kennedy 7.....looks decent, quick, nipply and a handfull for the defence, just overdid it sometimes, if he'd ran at them in the box we'd have gotten a penalty.

Heff 2......waste of space, jersey and a wage, should be next out the door
El Alagui 5.......not his best game but a trier, just didn't come off for him today.

Stanton 3.......don't know what's happened to this laddie but looks the shadow of the player from last season
Cummings 4.......good to see him back, bags of energy
    Handling.......not enough time

    Oxley 6 nothing to do.

    Booth 6 good 1st half
    Forster 6
    Nelson 6
    Gray 4 very poor

Kennedy 7 Our main threat today
Allan 7 I thought he was very good
Craig 6 had a couple of bad moments which have obviously over excited the pant wetters but I thought he did ok
Harris 6 very good in the 1st half

Heffernan 0 awful. I'm more concerned that Stubbs actually picks him
El Alagui 4 missed a couple of great chances

Oxley 6 - not much to do

    Gray 5 - fell away 2nd half
    Forster 6 - did okay
Nelson 6 - much better than his norm
Booth 7 - brilliant going forward, weaker in defence

Craig 5 - plenty of running but no end product, never a captain
    Allan 6 - steady game
Harris 4 - shirks 60/40's in his favour - totally unacceptable at pro level
Kennedy 7 - linked well with Booth - nice to see a player running with the ball and not getting rid of it like a hot tattie
El Alagui 5 - did okay but lost points for poor finishing
Heffernan 3 - never saw him except for the glaring header miss

    Stanton 4 - didn't change much
Cummings 6 - should have been on earlier, ran off the ball and was direct
Handling - Stubbsy killing some time with 2mins to go? WTF?

Stubbs - another game when we struggled & the change was left too late

Ref - decent performance by the officials, got most of the calls right

Crowd - quiet but there wasn't much to sing about on the park especially in 2nd half.

    Comments:
Defence: at sea so many times
Midfield: don't support forwards or defence enough & and are not direct
Forwards : got several good chances but duffed them all -
Team : improved by ditching hoofball although that should have been the tactic for the last 5mins instead of pussyfooting around at the back

Oh for a player with poise and class to show the way ...... a-la Pat or Franck
