He's very hot and cold. He has a good game then you'll see him another time and you wonder if he actually knows the rules of the game.IMO of course.

Doesn't really matter who the ref is unless it's that lanky streak of pish Thomson. All Scottish refs make decisions that seem beyond belief and they're linesmen do not make any decisions, even if the incident took place under their nose, until the ref makes his decision.

That won't happy again though because the authorities have paid a minimal amount for the vanishing spray that was so successful at the World Cup.

Madden is the kind of ref who allows the game to flow and doesn't blow his whistle every other minute. Sometimes letting it flow works in your favour and sometimes it doesn't

That was Alan Muir, who had the worst game of the season IMO which took some beating last season.
