Anyone know of a good place that would rent out a room/hall?
A group of us are getting a private poker game going and would ideally like to have a room big enough to cater for about 20 people. Ideally we would like access to a kitchen (or just a fridge!) and would need to be allowed to drink alcohol (though not sell) there. We'd need it until the wee hours so a licensed place (like the Ball Room in Morningside) is probably out. I've tried a few church halls but the drinking and gambling thing has put them off!

I'm sure you can hire rooms in most casinos, they can provide a dealer too but I'm not sure of the cost.

Have you tried local clubs like rugby clubs or bowling clubs?
