Andy Murray took the first rubber comfortably with a straight sets win over Donald Young on the San Diego clay earlier.
Great match on just now between James Ward and Sam Querrey.
They're into a fifth and final set after Ward came from a break down in the fourth set to level the match.
If Ward can win this match, it will be a fantastic chance for Britain to progress to a quarter final tie against either Italy or Argentina as it would mean they would need to win just one of the last three rubbers to win the tie.
With Andy Murray due to play Querrey on Sunday, I think it would be almost a certainty.
Ward goes 2-0 up in the decider!

Ward is playing out of his skin right now!
4-0 up in the fifth set!
He really ought to be making more out of his career, playing like this!

Well done James Ward!
He's beaten Sam Querrey 1-6 7-6 3-6 6-4 6-1 and Britain goes 2-0 up in the tie and are one step away from the quarter finals.
Absolutely fantastic victory.
He should be in the top 50 playing like that.

Hahaha typical I switched off when he went a break down in the 4th. Great come back from Ward, looked ominous in the first set.
2-0 up with Andy still to play a singles rubber!! Nice.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Great win though which all but seals Britain's place in the quarter finals.

Went to bed when it was 2-1 for the USA in the Ward match. James Ward was excellent, fantastic!
Tonight it is Don Inglot (on his debut) and Colin Fleming against the world No. 1 Byran brothers.
Even if they lose, I fancy both Murray and ward winning tomorrow.
James Ward was absolutely fantastic yesterday. Brilliant

Bryan twins looking good for a straight sets victory.
They've taken the second set 6-3.
I fully expect this result to be pretty much irrelevant by the end of tomorrow though.

I agree with your last comment. I think both singles will go our way.

GB takes the third set 6-3.
Probably won't win this match but at least they've given the Bryans something to think about.

According to Jon Inverdale, if Murray wins his singles match, it'll be the first time England have beaten the US in the Davis Cup.

Wow!!! The Yank is like a completely different player today, until Murray has set points and fails with the easiest drop shot.
First set to Murray.

Murray wins 7-6 6-7 6-1 6-3 and Britain seal their place in the quarter finals of the Davis Cup for the first time since 1986.
A tie against Italy in April awaits.
