I'm a Panthers fan. Decided that I should support a team at the other end of the country from Seattle just to spread my options! Hopefully gonna go 2-2 away to the Lightening tonight.

Red Wings fan and enjoying the return of a full season again. I didn't pay much attention last year owing to the prolonged lock-out but I've been following it early this season and it's been good to see the new league structure.
A pretty average start for us so far at 2-2 but it's been nice to catch a few of our games at least. We host the Flyers tomorrow night but it doesn't start til midnight so Sunday a.m. for me.Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

I'm a huge hockey fan, but I don't follow the NHL. I support the AHL team from where I grew up and my alma mater. The best sporting event that I've ever been to, out of any sport, is a game 7 of the Calder Cup playoffs which went to overtime.
It is interesting seeing the lifecycle of players. I have seen people play as young promising prospects in the AHL and then as washed up journeymen at the end of their careers in the EIHL. Jordan Krestanovich for example.

Still keep my eye open for the Providence score but I couldn't name any of 'our' players these days as I don't get to see any games! Traditionally, we're not particularly good but I did note we won the Atlantic Division last yearMadness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Having lived in Toronto when I was younger I have an affiliation for the Maple Leafs.
I have not seen the NHL for a bit as they took away my ESPN America or whatever it was however I have Virgin and a new channel has appeared on 551
Premier sports Channel and what's it showing
NHL. Phoniex Coyotes and La Kings.
Happy fellow I am

Support the Penguins, and more than happy with the way things are going right now. Stopped following it so much when ESPN lost the rights to Premier Sports, but now Virgin carry the channel I'm getting back into it. Of course, I love the Edinburgh Capitals much more

Watched the highlights of the Bruins/Canadiens this morning.
Bruising game. Some crunching tackles.

Anyone else see Penguins at Bruins last night? Things got out of hand there, hope Orpik is ok.

I enjoy watching the hockey, but rather than supporting a team, tend to follow two players (which is such an American thing to do!)
1) Teemu Selanne (now at the ducks)
2) Alex Ovechkin (so I suppose that makes me a Caps fan)
Not really been into it for a few seasons, for the virgin issue mentioned above, but going for it this year

105,000 people. Thats some crowd. And no segregation and no crowd aggro. One of the reasons i love hockey.

Bumping the thread up, well it's playoff time so who's going to win the Stanley cup? Sharks 1-0 up on L.A which is pleasing and hopefully go all the way to win it :) although St. Louis are looking pretty strong.

Red Wings did me proud on Friday! Tough ask to overcome Boston, but i think we can do it. If we make it to the second round I will be going down to a game, if I can get a ticket.
Go Wings!

Pft... Islanders going all the way... oh wait
I quite like the look of St. Louis - bossing Chicago after two games.
