    Burns v Beltran

    Anyone else going to this?

Looking forward to it, tough, tough fight for Ricky but if he wins then it opens up doors for him in the US and that means a shot at big money and a unification fight.

Yeah Im really looking forward to it, be an interesting fight, if Burns last opponent never tired/bottled/threw it away then it was looking like he was on a sure fire defeat

That dude genuinely did look different class for 4 rounds, Burns will need to start much earlier this time, he can't just rely on having a good chin

i don't know what way to call it as yet

Pick of the night so far, Callum Smith. I really look forward to seeing him go to big things. What a fluid looking fighter, very impressive.

That first judges score is an absolute nonsense! 3rd judge not much better.

    Not a draw.

    Close fight imo.

The 1sr round was outstanding from Burns, the rest not so much. For all the punches Beltran was throwing, i'd like to see how many landed. Not many i'd wager.

I scored it just for Beltran but not by a huge margin.

Was a close fight but Beltran shaded it, 10 rounds with a dislocated jaw is tough stuff.

Scandalous decision to call a draw. Burns brave but Beltran clearly won. Referee didnt call Burns once for persistent hanging on, and how one Judge actually called a Burns win just shows how corrupt the sport is

Silence of the crowd at the end said I all.

Rematch in the States surely called for

Beltran shafted there. Makes a mockery of boxing

This sport is as bent as WWF and ballet dancing. That was clearly a Beltran victory, by at least 2 or 3 rounds.

I am really close to giving up watching this as there's very little credibility left.

    A SHOCKING DECISION.

Ricky’s trainer, Billy Nelson said that he thought that he had built up a lead in the early rounds.

Saying that with a straight face took some doing: maybe a career in politics beckons.

It was quite an act given what we had overheard from the corner during the fight. He was well aware Burns was losing.

In fairness I had Burns 3 rounds up after 7. Obviously Beltran took the 8th 10-8 an d I gave him 9, 10 and 11 whilst I gave Burns 12 to give it to Beltran by 1.

A few of thos rounds could have gone either way as whilst Beltran was throwing huge volumes of punches a lot were being blocked or partially blocked. Burns on the other hand was landing his jab at will at times and should have been using it more.

Don't get me wrong I think Beltran won the fight by a round or 2 but i've seen some peole claim it was by 8 or 9 rounds and that's more ridiculous than it being called a draw.

When the outcome was announced I had a quick look to see if Craig Thomson was one of the judges
    This is how it feels

Alex Morrison saying this morning that Burns wants to give Beltran a rematch next year in Glasgow.

Reckon Eddie Hearn might have something to say about that!
