    Sorry, never noticed this.

Was a really good day, the only thing I'd say is that the folk watching aren't that bothered.....it's just a bevvy so you're constantly on your feet whether it's letting them out for a beer or a piss!!
I enjoyed the experience when I went to The Oval but, I find cricket much easier to follow on tv, the old eyes arnae what they used to be! :-)

Been to see Surrey in the Oval and the amount of pished up ********s annoys the crap out of me. More interested in paying £4 a pint for flat lager in a plastic cup than the cricket!

Been working away this week so missed this test. Caught the highlights on ch5. Truly awful. Three scud up in the series and so defensive. The oval is a run Fest normally and England short changed the punters today

Interesting end to the 5th Test, England need 82 more runs to win from 14 overs. KP in full flow, half century and counting from 36 balls.

Bad light stops play with England needing 21 from the final 4 overs.

    3-0 series win for England.

England could have won that, and IMO they should have been given the chance. That is SUCH a bad rule.

If KP had lasted an extra 4 overs it would've been game over.

Yup. I would have put money on them to win just before the run-out. I find it hard to believe that the English batsmen would have gone back to the pavilion if they had been offered the light like as used to be the case.

We have all sorts of electronic aids to help the umpires, we have floodlights to allow the game to be played in the dark, the batsmen are kitted out with as much protective gear as bomb-disposal men, but we can't finish a Test match in the balance with 4 overs to go because the umpires HAVE to call it off if their light meters register below a certain level - even if the players are all willing to carry on and there's a full house on the edge of their seats looking for a result.

    Bonkers.

It was certainly a crappy ending to what had up until that point been a good day's entertainment.

England players allegedly urinating on the pitch with Shane Warne giving them grief.
Someone once told me that hard work wouldn't kill me.

I thought: "Hell, why take the chance"!

Not clever. Next series the Aussies might pee on the pitch (round about a good length?) BEFORE the matches start. Not sure what that would do to the bounce and turn, but I'd rather not be asked to catch the thing in those circs.

Just watched last nights T20 International, a fine win for The Aussies!

What an innings by Finch, highest ever score in an International T20 match.

2nd ODI from Old Trafford underway.

Aussies 5-1, should be two, but, for some reason the 3rd umpire saw fit to overturn an lbw decision against Watson in the 1st over.

Aussies now 67-2, Watson goes after another review. Nothing on hot spot, but, a clearly audible sound as the ball passes the bat, later confirmed by Snicko.

Aussies ended up scoring 315-7. Tough target to chase to say the least.

38-3, this might not take long, unless KP has a mega innings.

What were Australia playing at in the Champions Trophy this year? I was at the England v Australia game at Edgbaston and they were awful; no intensity, no fight and no batting!

I then saw them on Tuesday v Scotland and I thought even then they were better, even though it was "only" Scotland. Johnson was on fire and Finch was incredible. I think Scotland made Marsh look good because there were no bowling partnerships for Scotland with only Wardlaw and Haq being that accurate there was always a way for the aussies to relieve pressure.

After Tuesday, I wasn't sure if it was just Scotland or if Australia had actually been that good, could Clarke and Finch have made such a difference? Apparently they were that good. I know Clarke was injured back in June but why was Finch nowhere to be seen?

I know this is a reserve England team but they have to be careful not to give too much momentum back to the aussies for the winter series, it may not matter to them on the surface if they lose the series badly but it is a risk to their mentality. Looking forward to the next game now!

Ps. Rankin is pants and always has been! No idea why he was so disrespectful to Ireland, I doubt he will ever play test cricket for England and he certainly isn't about to displace Anderson/Broad/Bresnan in the ODI team!
